The NFL combine should not be the sole factor in determining player's potential NFL value. I've seen it time and time again...a player who played exceptional on Saturdays goes and has a sub-par performance at the Combine and, therefore, suffers a big slide in draft position.
The NFL Combine should only consist of lesser-known players, players from Division I-AA, II and III schools. You know...the guys that didn't go to big-name schools, didn't play in 60,000 seat stadiums every Saturday, weren't on ESPN. I'm talking about the players from schools like Appalachian State, Youngstown State, New Hampshire, etc etc....These are the guys that should be invited to the combine, not the guys we've already seen play and know what they can do.
Opinions?
