If we sign Michael Lewis in FA and draft Alan Branch with the 8th, would that really improve our defense?

What about signing Nate Clements in FA and getting LaRon Landry in the draft...would that be better than the first idea?

There are so many things that can go in different ways...who do you think we get in FA and with our first day draft picks?

I think we get Michael Lewis, Nate Clements or Asante Samuel, a veteran DT, a couple of veteran OL...

In the draft, we still draft LaRon Landry to bulster our secondary...
Rufus Alexander in the second to pair with DeMeco...
If available either Kevin Kolb or maybe an OL like Arron Sears in the third...

I don't think it would help as much as your other options.

I like that idea a lot. I think that would help our secondary a lot and we need that.

I think LaRon Landry and Rufus Alexander are our ideal picks in the first and second round respectively. If we get both in the first and second round I would say we had a great draft.

I would add Nate Clements or Asante Samuel in free agency like you said. I would also like to see us going after Dwight Freeney if he comes available but I don't see that happening. Also, I think we are one good OL away from having a solid line, so I would like to see us add someone like Max Starks or Leonard Davis. Then bring in a DL, I wouldn't be surprised to see Michael Myers get looked at as he was on the Broncos. And, if we can get away with it for a third and fourth round pick, I would like to see us trade for Clinton Portis. Then draft Landry and Alexander. If we do all of that, I would be surprised if we don't atleast win 9 games.

I would agree with all of it, with the exception of a few...instead of leonard davis or max starks, i would want eric steinbach...and instead of michael myers i would like to see us go after albert haynesworth, and i would deffinatley go after portis if the oppurtunity arose!!! and still get landry and alexander in the draft...and then trade carr away for a third and pick up kevin kolb...lol...
