Late Night Texan Mock

Bubbajwp

All Flopper
Round 1 Leon Hall CB Michigan
Round 2 Ryan Harris OT Notre Dame
Round 3 Rufus Alexander OLB Oklahoma - Ive seen a few mocks were he falls to the third round
Round 4 Stevie Hicks RB Iowa
Round 5 Leonard Peters FS Hawaii - Very underrated
Round 6 Daniel Sepulveda P Baylor
Round 7 Hmmm Im going to sleep now.

I think are Huge Sleepers

so you watch one game with peters and declare him to be "very underrated."

peters' ultimate downfall will be his inability to stay healthy for long. and that he doesnt play nearly as fast as his timed speed.

Not bad but my thinking is no wmixed with FA. So its hard to do a mock when I want the Texans to sign a couple (k a few) players.

what is his timed speed?

I actually did read up on him from a few different draft sites and I liked what I read and saw yesterday.

What else do I need to do to say that he is underrated. Sir

stevie hicks is from Iowa State not Iowa, and cant stay healthy or play up to his potential, just an ok RB 5th round pick maybe not 4th.

I dunno Kastronostra...hasn't appeared to have effect All Day all that much ?

what is his timed speed?

He's a Glanville guy beerlvoer. Remember Glanville. That puppy comes with the foam on his mouth included. Jerry 's been whipping him up with that rolled up news paper across the nose. I dunno if he can be rehabilated. Will say he is much like the SS propsect form Oregone state. The guy can deffinaetly hit.

yeah, it has, actually.

Dude, All Day will not slide in the draft...first RB taken. If he comes out.

He got injured on a jump into the endzone. Looked like a freak accident to me. Everybody saying he is injury prone. Looks like bad luck to me..injury prone is when you injure like 5 things per season. People get injured in football...its bound to happen...can't say a guy is injury prone because he has had a couple of injuries.

this is what i think should be done in the draft.

draft down and get more picks.

1st pick: the best possible DT in the draft, perhaps the guy from LSU. we need a disrupter to lineup next to mario williams. maddox and thomas johnson are serviceable backups, but thats about it. a disruptive DT who can draw double teams will make mario's task easier since the doubles cant always go to him.

2nd pick: best CB available. we are still missing a shutdown corner. demarcus faggins is nothing but a nickel at best. maybe eventually he will develop into a #2, but not now.

3rd pick: QB - kevin kolb?
4th pick - beyond: best available

You certain about this are you ? Because...I just saw a crawl daddy yesterday saying, he's weighng his options on coming back and won't decide untill after the bowl game. Which reading between the lines tells me. it's not only a drastic change from Snoops banging his drum.....he's hearing he might drop. Kajana Carter was not nothing. The NFL moss backs remeber it well. There was a reason...Sean Alexander had a bear of a time with the new deal from Seatle befor last years record breaker. No one wants to over pay for RBs.

here's a question has Moulds been worth that 5th rd pick (2006 draft)? or would you rather the Texans have kept that pick? I can think of three OT's that where still available I liked alot- Ryan O'Callaghan, Quinn Ojinnaka & Texas own Jonathan Scott :stirpot:

I think he has been worth it. Mathis was coming off a major injury and is not really a #2 reciever. He is more of a career slot guy. Walters has been a major let down and is not a #2 either. Moulds is still a big time reciever who could be a #1 if AJ was hurt for a few games. Moulds is why AJ is having a pro bowl year. Moulds can still hurt you if you don't alocate coverage to his side. Moulds is a mentor to AJ and that itself is worth giving a late round pick for. Moulds has been more than worth that 5th round pick.

I agree with what you said, Moulds is a high character guy, has helped AJ with his development and taken some of the pressure off him as well give Carr another weapon. good move even in retrospect :thumbup

Plus, the guys you mentioned, all the OT prospects havent really been anything special. We drafted two OT's in the 3rd and wouldn't have gone OT there anyways. You can't find a Eric Moulds in the 5th round of any draft.

How has Walter been a MAJOR letdown? When on the field and thrown to he moved the chains... Sounds pretty good to me.

The offensive scheme as a whole has been a letdown... source DD is a major letdown. If the texans did not rely on him to "come back" they could have addressed the RB situation better and maybe had a threat in the backfield in order for defenses to respect and not have 8-10 in the box causing more players to stay in and "protect Carr"

The last thing that needs to happen to the Texans if Peterson or J. Thomas are available is to draft down. The rising stock of J. Russell is only a good thing for the Texans. Additionally, the hyped up B. Quinn who had better not become a Texan will more than likely be gone as well. That leaves 5 other players to go b4 us. No need to draft down when those guys are available.

Does anyone have info on the RFA Michael Turner? I think the kid is worth as much as we are giving DD. I'd like to see ya'lls thoughts.

Because he was supposed to come in and establish himself as a worthy WR target and compete for the #2 spot. He came in with the dropsees but played well on ST's. He was overhyped by fans and is not a #2 on a quality NFL team. That is all I'm saying.

Droppsies??? From what I recall he converted more firstdowns than jsut about anyone on the team.

I am sure you are a true knowledgable football fan and I am sure you know about "politics in the NFL" the same politics that keeps Carr in the starting position and not on the bench when he was horrible... talent, NO, paying him BIG money YES... Walter was signed cheap for what he is capable of doing in the NFL. Not to mention you are not going to move a veteran like Moulds whom you just gave up a mid draft pick as well as big money and move him to #3? Come on now let's be serious and not be a homer.

I respect ya, and yes Walter was pumped up.. that was when we expected to see him on the field in a 3WR set and the Texans had a running game as they "expected" DD to return fully ready to play... NOT!! and then the offensive line struggled, got injuries and totally changed the scheme of the offense Kube "thought" he was going to have.

So you have to admit, when walter had his opportunities, he did very well. yes he had a few bumps, but so did AJ, Carr, Moulds, and the rest of the team.

He will be given the high tender which means that we would have to give up our 1st rd pick. NO THANKS!!! Oh and it's DW now, not DD.
