Game 15 Thread: Colts @ Texans

I remember hearing maybe half season for McKinney to come in and play center again. Hodgden(sp?) and that GB guy(his name escapes me) just werent cutting it. It is amazing what a little help on the O-line can do for a team. Running the ball, TD passes...

David Carr with a touchdown...You are killing me Carr...

4th Texans Drive

1st Play: Good play call good run...stay wiht th run kubes.

2nd Play: Good run once again for the first down.

3rd Play: Good run again...but for taylor not dayne. gave them a hole, he made his move, made 9 yards.

4th Play: Good play call to taylor, he followed his full back very well pushed him off to that line backer, got caught from behind.

5th Play: Run, slipped and fell...stay on your feet rookie =P.

6th Play: Carr hit good out route on putzier... good play call setting up 3rd and short.

7th Play: good burst by Dayne.

8th Play: 2 yard gain...ok...good play call... just offensive line didn't get a good push.

*** Timeout Texans ***

9th Play: Chris Taylor with great speed on that burst.

10th Play: 3rd and 5... QB sneak. Wow. Great play call. Use his athleticism... he is an athlete. 1st down. Very nice.

11th Play: Good hole by offensive line, Pitts Mckinney and Weary really opened it up. Dayne gets 9 yards, took some time off the clock...great play (inside 2 minutes right now)

12th Play: Short burst by Dayne for the 1st.

13th Play: Few yards to get inside the 5.... pretty good burst. I would love to see the texans come out with a pass the next play.

14th Play: Carr's first TD in a while, and well deserved. Put a good move on that d linemen to make the throw, leach had a good catch and got in that zone. awesome play.

Thoughts on drive: Great clock management to only leave 16 seconds on the clcok, 14 play drive? PERFECT. Offense is playing awesome.
Thanks so much for the play-by-play. Better than NFL.com by far!

You Have Just Entered Another Time And Demension... Not One Of Sight And Sound, But One Of Some Damn Good Football.... We Call It The Highlight Zone.......nenenenenena Nenenenena!

The pressure is off of Carr. He doesn't have to worry about it anymore. Noticed that Kubiak said little if anything about Carr all week. Let DROB spot off if he wants, but can they protect with 3 scores. The offense spoted the defense two scores to begin the game.

No one element can win the game. We have not had many games where both sides of the ball were doing well at the same time. This is a game where both have to step up.

THANKS THASHARK....IF U GUYS HAVEN'T NOTICED I AM NOT THAT COMPUTER SAVY......IN FACT I AM COMPUTER ILLITERATE.......:shades:

In other games of relevance to the Texans - Tampa Bay is up 6-0 at the half over Cleveland. If TB wins and we lose out, we could move to number 4 on the draft board. And Washington is beating St Louis 21-14 at the half - thus if Washington wins and we lose today we'd lock up a top 6 slot for sure.

Of course I actually hope we win today, and combined with a win over Cleveland next Sunday (cocky huh?) we could drop out of the top 10. Not sure I like that ...

The forced fumble from the D certainly helped in that second score.

I don't get to watch the game...but I'm following it on stat tracker. It seems as though the Colts are shutting down Andre and Moulds, but Carr is doing a nice job of spreading the ball around to many receivers. Could it be that the run is finally setting up the pass and Kubiak's system is at least showing what it will be able to do in the future? Or are the stats deceiving me?

that is what sucks...we could have a slightly better record and not look so bad but get a worse draft pick or we could lose and look like ass but get a good draft...i would rather have the 6-10

Colts first drive of 2nd half
Kickoff: 30 yard return, called back on a holding penalty.

1st Play: 1st down off of addai. Colts create huge whole, and Mario makes mental mistake by coming upfield to much.

2nd Play: Ryans with good tackle... 1 yard gain off of addai run.

3rd Play: Short pass to Marvin Harrison, unfortunately super mario got him from behind.

4th Play: Demeco Ryans reads slot receiver very well and dives for the ball, putting his body on the line to make sure no play was made.

From Buffalo- this is actually interesting - Losman throws a 50 yard pass with :01 on the clock - down at the 8 but a penalty on Tenn gives them another play thus they kick a FG. This is just after VY's 36 yard TD run at 0:14
