Yep, most or Rome's show today is about the Texans, and NOT in a good way. Sad, just f'n sad...
Wow. I didn't know Jim Rome had the ability to impact your day like he obviously does.
You give someone like him the keys to drive your car? That's too bad.
Once again: People who make a living out of cracking on people or teams each day is just a huge non-factor to me.
I mean, does he have the ability to impact your life THAT much?
Show some personal reponsibility and turn the dial. You'll be happier for it.

We'll probably beat the Pats this Sunday. We have a better TEAM than the Titans. They just happen to have squeaked by the past two games. They resemble a trailer house park where guys get together and play flag football on some pacthy, dried up grass as cars zoom by on the Interstate.
We played the better game against the Giants, the Titans TWICE, and we swept the Jags. We beat the pats and the Colts and it won't even matter to 98% of the people here.
98% of the people here are all VY fans who come here to cry and rub our noses in it.
Tell me how I am wrong, broseph....tell me.

Most seem to just be disgruntled Texan fans upset thinking about what could have been....
And at this point I don't have the gumption to say we "will" win any of our remaining games...I wouldn't be shocked at all if we lost all three.

You assume too much young, ignorant grasshopper. I made no mention of the fact that Rome was cracking on the Texans impacting my life. I simply stated what they were discussing. Me saying it was sad meant that its sad that every single media outlet is cracking on our Texans.
And don't you worry about what I choose to listen to on the radio. Worry about yourself and you'll be happier for it.
The 610 morning guys said they thought perhaps somebody would pony up a 4th round pick for David. Their opinion of course.
Don't know. I just can't imagine the Texans going with David next year after these last few weeks. I think they'll try to get rid of him and start over.

Theyve laughed at us for quite awhile because we have not given any QB we have an O-line. For 5 years we have done jack freaking squat but bring in overpaid players and a Center who cant play a full season to "fix" the O-line.

I don't understand why everyone's getting upset about the media disrespecting us. They've always disrespected us. When the Rockets won the Championship, SI wouldn't even put us on the cover until we made such an uproar about it. And, then they made a stand alone edition that was probably distributed in the immediate Houston area only. Have they ever refused to put a National Champion on the cover before? I don't know.
Jim Rome? I don't get what people see in him. He's an egotistical maniac that thrives on his listeners trying to sound like him. He's smug, arrogant, & looks down his nose at people. His opinion matters to me less than knowing the rat population of Siberia.
For whatever reason, the national media hates us. What do we have that makes them feel so jealous, or indifferent? I don't get it. Thus, I don't care what their opinions are. This is a great city & I'm proud to live here (I just wish we had some mountains).
I love our teams & look on them with great pride. Yes, I get down & frustrated when they lose, but when the next game comes around, I just know we're going to win this time. I'm a homer extraordinaire & damn proud of it. I have nothing to be ashamed of, & the media can kiss my big ol' fat butt.
As for all the player only homers, why do you come to our board when you can go to the board of the team they're on & talk about how you knew all along how great that player was going to be? And, you can tell everyone on that board how you think Houston, & all their respective team front offices are stupid & incompetent & that they'll never be a threat to win anything. At first, they may embrace that. But, I suspect, even they will grow tired of the same old rhetoric coming from the same posters. But hey, give it a try, I may be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time, or the last. After all, I live in the Laughing Stock City.

Very true, I still to this day wont buy SI. It never shocks me when anyone in H-town does not get the true credit they deserve. Im actually shocked Demeco gets the run he does.
I dont know if people are only about 1 player, you could say that people here are only about VY as much as others are about Carr. At least Carr is on our team (to the dissapoinment of many). But I dont question anyones desire for this team, heck I think EVERYONE Here loves this team.

I'm not upset about everybody laughing at us. I'm upset that the #1 draft pick will haunt us for years and don't see any way to fix it at this time. I'd be laughing too if I was watching another team's equivalent incompetence. There will not be a VY for a while, much less a VY & an RB at the same time available. All the guys on tv are right when they say "What were the Texans thinking?"
I'm not sure he'll ever say anything because he just doesn't strike me as that type of player but I would not be surprised behind closed doors if David perhaps thinks he'd be better off with another team..a new start somewhere else. He's never struck me as the type that is just trying to pick up a paycheck and going thru the motions. I think he gives his best but for this team it's not working.
