Do we have a rivalry now?

I think Jacksonville, Tennessee and Indy (in no specific order) are all rivalries.. Are the rivalries as intense as the old AFC Central? NO.., Not yet!!!

yep, one of his mighty 4 sacks. you guys are acting like this is a winnable game for the texans. last time we played the texans we were a bad team but still got the W. we have improved so much over the last 5 weeks, and the texans have pretty much stayed the same. its gunna be a blowout

I'm actually predicting a spanking myself, and it's not just because I'm a semi VY fan boy, but more because Carr has a tendency to stink it up when it counts, while Vince does the opposite.

Well it's more a rivalry to Houston fans. If we lose on Sunday I won't be upset as a Houston fan would be if they lost. Losing to their former team and Vince Young at home .... not good

but if we win doesnt it show that we made the right decision because it'll mean we'll have outplayed the titans twice this year....all with Carrbage at qb while the titans lost with the chosen 1 at qb- esp. since we all know he'll have brought 'his A game'

You still suck and we gave you that game.

A win is a win *****. the fact is that we have beat you 3 straight times and are about to make it 4. After tommorow you will be in the AFC South cellar still and we will continue our rise

Outplayed yeah You gave up a turnover or had 3 and outs every drive it seemed, The Fish and bud has the texans number.:phone:

you're right kinda..we'd give up a turnover and then force a 3 and out

i thought we slowed down ye're offence pretty well-14 pts...while we moved the ball all day

it was the only game i can say DC lost for us this season- fumbled twice (1 returned for a td), throw an int

titans got a PR aswell.... dont get me wrong we found out last weekend that those wins are sweet also but that doesnt mean the more deserving team won...

All I know is I am primed and ready for this game. Even got a little booing practice in up at the Woodlands mall. A man walked past me while I was putting my daughter in her stroller and I booed him for wearing a Titan Jersey. Even turned to my daughter and told her that only females should where such a pansy candy "bleep" blue.

I'd say it is a rivalry due to the fact the titans are the old Oilers, the fact we are in the same division, and now Vince Young. Call me crazy about the Vince Young thing. It seems both teams are more fired up this week about playing each other than I remember them ever being before playing each other.

I think most of the firing up this week has been on this board between the Carr homers (me) the Carr haters (squeeking wheels), joined in by the Texan die hard fans :texflag: vs the orangeblooded v.y brokeback mountaineers.

The two teams involved are simply playing out the string to see which is the lousiest team.

Not too much in the way of bragging rights attached to this contest. Unless you are desperate for something to brag about....:potkettle:

As for me, I will spend the day in Baytown watching my 10 year old grand daughter compete in a fast pitch HIT softball tournament. I will enjoy my day immensely.

I will log on to this forum tomorrow night to see if the team wins in spite of anything Carr does or doesn't do, loses because of Carr and Carr only, or if V.Y beats the Texans all by himself.

Wow! That felt good...:D

Even with all the bickering and griping about who the Texans should or shouldnt' have drafted. There is a silver lining on this and what makes the NFL a fun game. As the Titans improve and the Texans improve, a game like today fuels the fire of the fans...

With VY running in OT and winning the game and eventhough it was heartbreaking the Texan fans... a rivalry starts

(don't think Demeco/Williams and the whole defense get stung by that 3rd down play, they have pride too)

This is a WAY old thread (2006) and was done under a search but I didn't want to start a new one, but

I think the way this game went .. a RIVALRY has officially started .. This was an INTENSE game.. It should be a barn burner come Nov 23

Yes, now those "TNT rivalry" pics on the homepage won't seem so cheesy...

Until now, the Jags were our real rival in this division, now it's the Titans....I can't wait for the day when we drag Indy into the mix. :)
