Jag Khalif Barnes busted for DWI

According to PFT he was arrested today:

Profootballtalk.com has learned that Jaguars starting right tackle Khalif Barnes was arrested on Saturday for DUI.

Barnes is not currently incarcerated.

It's possible that it's not the same Khalif Barnes -- but only if there's another Khalif Barnes who was born on the same day as the Khalif Barnes who plays for the Jaguars.

Barnes was a second-round selection of the Jaguars in the 2005 draft. He started 12 regular-season games as a rookie and has started every game this year.

The Jaguars are scheduled to host the Texans on Sunday. It's unknown whether the arrest will affect Barnes' status for the game. It's also unknown whether the team even knows about the arrest.

Very interesting find TC. While I still have my doubts about PFT (their the National Inquirer of the NFL), this could be a huge blow for the Jags if they suspend him for it.
 
With this sort of stuff, I do not doubt Florio. He is a lawyer so he wouldn't be throwing this sort of thing out casually. He says how he knows this information and provides some details.

The only thing that I believe he has wrong is that Barnes is JAX's left tackle.

It would non surprise me if Barnes gets to play "pending an investigation" like PacMan was able to do against the Texans. Divisional game.
 
Good find TC...especially when most of us are watching college football all day and stay off the computer.

NFL stars are too spoiled today. I actually hope deciplinary action is takin. He should be punished.

Del Rio has a history off not passing down punishment till all legal "stuff" is worked out. To bad for us their in the play-off hunt he's wont do anything about it because its all about winning. Guess Khalif will be playing with a hangover though he tested at .12 legal limit is .08. Maybe it will affect his play, then again maybe its a weekly "game prep" thing and this time he got caught. LOL

It's not like DWIs are limited to "spoiled NFL stars." It is probably the number one ride to prison, just so happens football players are human too. Still inexcusable though, with that much money the guy can easily pay for a ride home, some people are just too stubborn, regardless of their occupation.
 
Just heard on NFL countdown that barnes is inactive for today...looks like Mario could have a HUGE DAY today....I already expected a good day from him, but now it looks like he may have a GREAT DAY.:marionaner:

Guess I was wrong on that one!!!!! Could be a great day for the Texan D. Kittys will have two different players at LT and LG. Guess their fans have a reason for another loss built in allready.LOL

Garrard is our QB. He knows how to avoid the rush. Mario doesn't get a single sack today.
 
I'll gladly eat some crow...I hear it taste like kitty...but we'll see.

Oh and by the way I'd like to wish us a happy birthday. 231 years and counting. I know it was on the 10th but I didnt log in that day.
