Draft Tracker 2025

Trust the process. Nick is doing what he’s done since he’s become GM here. You’re not going to agree with every move he makes and he’s not going to get every pick right… but he’s been a top 5 GM since he got here and he’s right more often than not.

Speaking of Koolaid… a lot of people were upset Koolaid was taken in front of the Texans last draft and they “settled” for Lassiter. That seems to be working out for Houston.

There is blind faith and there is earned trust. Nick has proven himself and the team will have a stranglehold on the AFC South as long as DeMeco is HC and CJ is healthy.
Like your post, enjoy your posts and I get it, every true Texan fan must drink the koolaid

As seen on FB - going to need a train like a wedding gown.

Frankly unwatchable. Was hoping Texans knew what they’re doing trading out of first & passing on ready made franchise tackle. Paid dearly for Higgins. I can live with it, nothing outrageous, good player but then to give up 3rd acquired from that trade out just to move up 10 spots for project OT, is not only admission of screwing up but compounding mistake. Going hard for WR Nolan is credible but what about OG Ratledge? Caserio needs his rest, all picks are made in panic mode. Lot of pressure and he just didn’t have strong support group, just a bunch of koolaid drinkers.

:koolaid:

Where is Mike Holovak when you need him ?

The Master Trader gives up a 3rd RD pick for a backup running back. I didn't think this was what he meant when he said the middle of the draft was deep:

Texans receive:

  • 2025 fourth-round pick (No. 116) -- RB Woody Marks
  • 2025 seventh-round pick (No. 224)

Dolphins receive:

  • 2024 sixth-round pick (No. 179)
  • 2026 third-round pick
Lopsided as hell. What are we doing? DeMeco is the biggest cheerleader :sbad:

I'm giving some expert opinion and advice here. The Houston Texans' history of draft picks has been mediocre and average AT BEST. The File Clerk, aka the Master Trader is no Eliot Wolf or Les Snead. This is just stating the obvious, unless of course, you are a regular customer who dines at the 1-star Caserio Cafe where OBVIOUS is not on the menu. I do hear they serve up some marvelous Kool-Aid, though.
Preach!

It's not the pick it's the player...I fell into the same trap. I think I'm still there

Texans appeared to be looking at a different skill set at that position from their FB

Marks fits the profile of the classic New England pass catching back.

And yet Sanders didn't want his son to go to Cleveland..
That's not the story.

Colorado coach Deion Sanders issued another reminder that he will intervene if his quarterback son Shedeur is drafted by an NFL team he doesn’t like and said there are a “couple of teams that I won’t allow him to play for.”

Sanders said this on the Tamron Hall Show Friday as he promotes the new season of his “Coach Prime” documentary series after it debuted this week.

He did not say which teams he had in mind.

“Have you told him privately who you would like for him to play for?” Hall asked Sanders on the show.

“It’s not like that,” Sanders replied. “It’s not like who I would like for him to play for. It’s a couple of teams that I won’t allow him to play for. So it’s not like that. But this is my profession. I know what’s behind the curtain. We ain’t got to get back there for me to understand what’s behind the curtain and what’s not prominent for my son. I’m not doing it.”

Sanders made a similar warning about this previously, when he said that Shedeur could pull “an Eli” if he didn’t like the NFL team that drafted his son – a reference to when quarterback Eli Manning refused to play for the San Diego Chargers after being drafted by them in 2004.

“You have said that if the right team does not pick him, that you will…” Hall said before Sanders finished her sentence.

“Intervene,” Sanders said.

He then stated his reason for it.

"I’m not gonna let my son get down in no foolishness," he said.

Having a player you want/need now is better than a hypothetical one in the future?

Wasn't it the Texans 3rd, not the Giants?
Exactly, and they have a whole year + another draft to recoup a 3rd if they need to.. Small beans to complain about. I was more upset trading a 2nd round pick for Diggs, because I knew in the moment he wasn't close to being the player he once was.

Yep and everybody I read says the two teams included the Browns due to
I mean how stupid to trade a 3 next year for pick in the 4th this year.
You realize they're basically the same?

For me injuries made it hard to see what the Texans wanted to do on short yardage downs last year. It seemed two yards may have as well been seven+ especially with our LT. A huge need may have been filled today.

Frequently 3rd and 2 became 3rd and 7 last season due to a pre-snap penalty. And the odds of success go down dramatically causing a failed drive.

But I heard on here that false starts don’t have an effect on games.
