Draft Tracker 2025

Are they still alive?
It's possible another GM may have done a comparable job to what he has accomplished in the 5 or so years he's been here, but we'll never know.
The grass is always greener...
Wolf is in NE. He’s been there since 2020 and is now overseeing scouting as of 2022. He’s in year five now, that appears to be going swimmingly. No idea what the knob slobbing is all about with that guy.

if one goes it would be Ogun or Pierce. Ogun played special teams too no? so maybe move him over if they want Pierce
Dare does a little bit of everything - running, receiving, blocking, ST, even kicking in a pinch. I think he's more likely to stick than Pierce. I like Pierce but I don't think he'll be a good fit for this system.

I feel so bad for Cam Ward. Dude is like Bizarro Shedur. 0-star recruit from a random place in Texas. Climbs his way up the college ranks to eventually become the first pick in the draft. Basically never gets mentioned and everything is about Shedur.

Sanders is clearly the No.2 QB in the draft. I assume the NFL is humbling him and Deon on purpose.

Hard to believe 32 owners could get on the same page and boycott Sanders. Rumblings I hear about his interview with the Giants must have been really really bad. Talent gets drafted in this league no matter how much of a douche you are.

Harris is on the Texans payroll. He loves everybody. Last time I remember him not liking a pick, Duane Brown. Of course he didn’t work for the Texans then.

Not seeing it.

Dude you pay attention to these players, would be much more enjoyable to read your posts to see the positives and negatives to these players and not that any decision the Texans make is going to set us back 10 years.

If you really do have some insight this is your time man.
He doesn't. B!tching, "being right," and "told you so" are his 3 superpowers.

Yeah that's my hang-up with the pick.. I don't have a problem with a back with a slower 40 as long as he has size and strength, but if I'm going to pick a smaller back I'd prefer if he had game breaking speed in the open field.
I’d rather get that first down on third and two in the red zone

Exactly, as soon as I saw who was the author of the tweet I didn't even read it, I don't need a cheerleader blowing smoke up my ass. I hardly ever listen to his takes when it comes to the Texans.

Everyone (teams and fans) has their grades on players they want, but the bolded is where I struggle with picking Marks.
I get it but can't deny his stats runs but loves to catch the ball too'
Ran 198 times for 1,133 yards and nine TDs in the 2024 season. He also caught 47 passes for 321 yards.
Caught 60 passes in his first season at Mississippi State and then a remarkable 83 catches in his second season there.

It's hard to watch Giddens,Smith, Martinez,Hunter,Allen rum and catch the ball and say let's draft Woody Marks. Top it off, give up a 3rd next yr
Frankly unwatchable. Was hoping Texans knew what they’re doing trading out of first & passing on ready made franchise tackle. Paid dearly for Higgins. I can live with it, nothing outrageous, good player but then to give up 3rd acquired from that trade out just to move up 10 spots for project OT, is not only admission of screwing up but compounding mistake. Going hard for WR Nolan is credible but what about OG Ratledge? Caserio needs his rest, all picks are made in panic mode. Lot of pressure and he just didn’t have strong support group, just a bunch of koolaid drinkers.

:koolaid:

as of right now it's this
#187 Round 6
#216 Round 6

#224 Round 7
#241 Round 7
#255 Round 7
It was only last Thursday night when the Master (baiter) Trader was telling us that the brilliance of trading back is because the middle of the draft was very deep, with the best players who would be starters. Then the Master Trader emptied the Texans cupboard of all their middle-round picks. However, the Master trader does have some very special magic in the way he can work those 6th and 7th RD picks.

If he becomes a Dave Meggett, Eric Metcalf, Darren Sproles type of player, I'm fine with that
Marks doesn't have that kind of burst. Averages less than 6 yards/reception.
Skattebro still out there?
If only Cam had shown up to the senior Bowl, the Texans would have traded up for him.
Mixon Marks ---- Pierce Ogunbowale RBs will they keep 4 or let one go?
Don't forget about preseason hero British Brooks.

yea British Brooks is he still around for this season roster

The Master Trader gives up a 3rd RD pick for a backup running back. I didn't think this was what he meant when he said the middle of the draft was deep:

Texans receive:

  • 2025 fourth-round pick (No. 116) -- RB Woody Marks
  • 2025 seventh-round pick (No. 224)

Dolphins receive:

  • 2024 sixth-round pick (No. 179)
  • 2026 third-round pick
