Texans random thought of the day

Entering the Coast Guard soon after high school I never had a chance to have long hair until my early 20s. And it was then I learned that having long hair in this heat and humidity is ******* horrible.

Post draft thoughts and looking toward this upcoming season, I have the distinct impression we are going to see a pass heavy offense from our new OC.
I foresee lots of three WR sets and possibly a good sprinkling of jumbo packages.
With Collins, Higgins and Noel on the field at the same time with either of Mixon or Marks out there too will be difficult for opposing DCs to cover all contingencies.
I was hoping we would see another bona fide rock pounding back out there but instead, we got a finesse guy better known for his hands.
Put an extra pass blocking OL and TE out there in the red zone or on third/fourth down and that will create nightmares for defenses.

Don't forget Kirk.

At OG, Ed Ingram and Laken Tomlinson are locks to make the 53. Nick Broeker and Juice Scruggs have the edge going into preseason as the backups.

LaDarius Henderson may have the best shot to upgrade from Broeker. Broeker's edge is that he has had 2 years of experience on the 53. Henderson spent his rookie season on IR.

It's clear why Tytus Howard is in the conversation for OG. The problem is, because of his injury in 2023, he may need to move to the left side, something to do with pushing off with the foot and his footwork being stronger on the left side. But LG is where Tomlinson has spent his intire, sucessful, 10 year career.

Draft Buzz has a very good profile of his strengths, but still has him projected as an UDFA. Henderson had fairly decent sophomore and junior seasons at Arizona State, but after transferring to Michigan as a senior, didn't fair so well, giving up 19 QB hurries, 4 QB hits and 2 sacks over 523 snaps.

Scouting Report: Strengths

Has good footwork and technique. Balanced and agile pass
protection set with excellent hand placement.

Shows excellent awareness when presented with stunts and
blitzes, and Henderson works well with teammates on combo blocks

Has a strong, flexible core, and the ability to absorb and anchor
against the bull rush as a pass protector.

Adequate foot quickness to remain outside. Can get to the second
level with surprising agility when adjusting to moving defenders.

Underrated athleticism, agility, balance, and even straight-line
speed to contribute.

Henderson will have a chance to develop as a right tackle or possibly
inside at guard, where he could be an interesting prospect for a
zone-blocking team. If nothing else, that versatility is enough to
make him at least a quality reserve.

He’s a fluid mover in pass protection, with great coordination between
his upper and lower body. Henderson sets with a wide base, has the
requisite core strength and plays with natural balance, capable of
sitting back and handling power.

I'd like to see at least one more vet added to the Oline squad. Preferably two
