DT on day 2 seems like a pretty sure bet. The bolded DTs weigh over 330 lbs. I think adding any of them as that run stuffing NT who still has the speed to rush the passer would be the cherry on top for what is already the league’s best defense on paper.
If the Jags add Jeanty, I would increase the importance of this need and counter by finding a way to get one of the big bodied DTs in the building.

Of the others, I like Sanders, Alexander (he'll be 25 before the season starts) and Farmer.
There's enough talent at DT, the team can let the draft play out and still get substantial talent.
They don't have any DT under long=term contract along with not really having that full sized run stuffer. I am guessing we see one DTnin the rounds 1-3.

My OG1. Him and Egbuka I think are the highest floor players we have a chance at picking in the draft. That doesn’t mean they don’t have a ceiling though, they are plenty good. Just means aside from unforeseen injury I see a solid starter at minimum.
Give me Donovan Jackson and maybe trade up if Emeka Egbuka falls into the 2nd.
Add a TE (Terrance Ferguson) and a RB (Brashard Smith) in rd 3 and lets roll.
I seriously doubt the draft falls this way because it looks like Ryans wants to draft a DT in Rd 1 or 2.

Texans are confirmed visiting with the key players at basically all need positions with different tiers throughout. Business is open! But is there any information we can use from a previous year to “set our boards” like the Texans?
Lets look at the 2024 visits:
Per walterfootball:
Texans drafted Lassiter and Stover who were listed as combine visits only.
Bullock and Hill who were top 30 visits (Hill also had a zoom meeting).
UDFAs Pheldarius Payne and Mark Perry were zoom meetings. Layden Robinson a local prospect day visit.

TLDR: Texans will take players they have visited with… the type of visit doesn’t necessarily mean they are more interested than other types. They will take players (Fisher) they are not linked to, a good indication is if they are meeting with players in that position grouping.

The 2025 visit list is again pretty comprehensive. They’ve visited with players at every need position in each tier day 1-3 and UDFA. Very likely a prospect they haven’t visited with at a need position will be drafted by them. Also a good bet 4-5 of the players below will be Texans by next Saturday.
