Tracking 2025 Prospect Visits

I’m loving all the RB visits. Mixon wont be here much longer and this is such a strong class. Take one on day 2 and you’ve got a feature back ready to go.

The interesting thing will be nailing down what type of back they want. A guy like Kaleb Johnson tells me they prefer outside zone. They wouldn’t pair a mauling OL like Booker with a Kaleb Johnson pick imo. Contrast that with a Booker/Quinshun Judkins pairing would go a long way towards building a bully if you want to see violence in your offense.

But maybe they don’t know which back they want to draft until they pick another OL…

I agree with you in that I’m loving all the RB visits as well. It’s nice to see that they might try to capitalize on a very strong class.

Do you have favorite backs that you’d prefer them to target?

I'm not sure Farmer will be available there. And the Texans don't have a 4th after the Tunsil trade. But, there should be 2 gappers on day 3. Guys like Cam Jackson (Florida) and Jamaree Caldwell (Oregon) fit that profile.
In watching some of the Senior Bowl practices Caldwell is one of the DTs who stood out. Also am becoming a fan of Yahya Black from Iowa

I like quite a few of these backs. I'm sort of with SB - Smith or Tuten. But it depends on who is available and when. I could see them drafting a back as high as round 3. I could also see them drafting no back, and maybe trying a UDFA to compete.

I also like Croskey- Merritt a lot too, along with Hunter. A lot of talented RB's in this draft, it would be a shame if Caserio didn't come out of this draft with a guy.

Man I would be very happy if Caserio drafted this guy and Tate Ratledge. Such an upgrade over Green/Mason.
Agreed! Although he’s gaining steam as a prospect that Seattle might take with their pick. I’m hoping they go WR instead so we have Zabel as an option at 25.

I’m between Conerly or Zabel as our pick since I don’t think Banks will slide to our pick anymore.

I could see the Seahawks going TE or Grant/Will Johnson at 1-18.

If it's between Conery or Zabel, as much as I like Zabel, I'm picking Conerly. At 1-25 if Conerly is there the Pats are a prime trade down candidate if that's the way Caserio wants to go. If I told you by trading down with the Pats you would end up with Milum/Ratledge/Kyle Williams would you pass on Conerly?

That’s a hard one. I honestly don’t know which way I would lean. I don’t know if I like those guys better than Conerly. Maybe if it was a different bunch.

Ratledge/Bech/Grant
Sanders/Ratledge/Williams

I like Milum, but I think he needs more reps at G. I wish we could have a developmental year for him on the interior.

Give me Zabel, and for me personally...it's not close. I'm still leery of the school as it relates to Nick and his draft history.

I'm hoping the TE Loveland somehow falls in our lap. He'd make Dalton a bit role player and gone by next year.

I don't think Milum is going to have any issues transitioning to LG

Loveland is a huge WR. I have always had that impression of him watching him at Michigan. He might come around as a blocker. He needs to hit the weight room big time to do it. However, if he can keep the speed and quickness doing it...he will be amazing. As a main TE with his current size, he is not going to block much. Mainly chip or line up as a receiver split out. I love the idea either way as I am a Michigan guy and the kid is legit

I mean maybe, but then again there is the fact that Michigan lined Loveland up in-line and ran behind him over a 100 times last year.

Loveland’s strength comes in what he can do as a receiver, with his combination of route-running, athleticism, and ability to make defenders miss in space. But the difference here is, you could then ask him to put his hand in the dirt and block an edge defender on the next play.

While Loveland is not flawless as a blocker, the technique and effort are there. By my charting, Michigan was absolutely not afraid to run behind him, as I charted over 100 plays this year where Loveland was at or near the point of attack on a run design. Instead of hiding him on the backside, they ran behind him, as they did on this play against Indiana with Loveland starting in-line, before working to the second level to take on a linebacker

Now is he Jackson Hawes as a blocker, no; but to label him as just a big WR is unfairly limiting

Agreed and in 2023 when Loveland was blocking for Corum and fully healthy (Shoulder)he was an above avg blocker. Teams cant run for as many yds as the Michigan RB's did in 2023 without TE's that cant block. If Loveland could've come out after 2023 (He wasn't eligible) he would have been drafted higher than he will be drafted this yr. Dude's a stud, before last yr started he was rated above Warren. after poor QB play and separating his shoulder his play suffered and Warren had a great yr.

He's going in the 3rd.
He could very likely be there for us with one of our 3rds
I am of the opinion that whichever DT this team likes will be the luckiest DT in the draft. Just so difficult for them to fail with this coaching staff and supporting cast. They can thank their lucky stars that they have basically won the lottery with that second contract barring injury.
