Addition by subtraction. You want nasty run game? You want an attitude? A dawg mentality on the line? You aren't getting it with Tunsil.
Not to mention the issues surrounding the line leader being the unit's poorest worker. Imagine if JJ Watt, the most talented guy on that D-line, took off practice whenever he could. What if he didn't care about stopping the run, and really only gave a decent and finesse effort on pass plays? What if he spent more time on Instagram than helping and leading his teammates? What if he was soft minded instead of tenacious and a bull? And what if he took up a healthy chunk of your cap while doing it?
The guys that are your best and most talented players must have the mental attitude to match and must lead their respective units. Tunsil ain't that guy. Not sure why you can't see it as it's plain as day.
Chances are good that Tunsil will be back, so you'll likely get your wish. And I do expect modest improvement even with Tunsil. But if you want a true attitude change on the line and a total break of the soft past...and one that looks more like the hogs of the old Redskins and less like the miniature dogs hidden in women's purses, this is the way you start that process.
Chop the boil off man. It may bleed a bit at first, but in the long run you'll be better off.
