Steel B's 2025 Mock 1.0

I don’t see anything special about Warren that they don’t already have in Stover…who I deem as a better blocker coming out of college than this kid; certainly a more willing one. Stover is more in the mold of what the WCO requires..a Kittle type in that he doesn’t require the ball but can still make big plays for you if you call on him. This kid seems like he will need to get the ball regularly like a Kelce, Gronk type for us to max out all he has to offer b/c he won’t offer much else…& he’s not that type of talent imo.

Plus they Just resigned Brevin Jordan…Schultz just signed for 3 years in the last offseason…can’t see them using our 1st on a TE that likely won’t get the requisite snaps over at least 2 of those guys.
He's a much better blocker IMHO.

He reminds me of Kittle. But I would certainly love to have a Kelce type TE on the roster.

Penn St. has very little in the way of receiving threats. This is why they try to get the ball to Warren as much as possible. Watch the Ohio St, Oregon games, he's double teamed a lot and still makes plays. BTW, I dont think they will pick Warren in rd 1, but I would. Having Stover/Warren would be perfect for a WCO.

To much focus on need over BPA. Strength of class is DL. So solidify that area as strength for the future. Address need later after talent levels off.

True and like I said if Nolen fell I would have a hard time not picking him.

Warren is worthy of 1-22.

The question is would you rather pick a guy that's talented like Warren at 1-22 and comeback in the 2nd/3rd rd and pick a guy like Burch or Collins. Or go DT in the 1st and get a TE like Helm or Mason Taylor in the 2nd/3rd.

Eli Stowers is another guy I really like and I think he falls to the 4th. But I'm really looking for a TE that can block and is a differencemaker in the passing game. The lack of a TE that can block has really been an issue for the offense.

SS, Nick Emmanwori could be an immediate impact player. At 6-3, 227 lbs, and capable of a 4.38-40 makes him a Safety weapon that the Texans have never had.

His arrival allows Pitre to slide into the Nickle position permanently.

If healthy, the Texans could have a solid LB group with Harris, Al-Shaair, To’oTo’o, White (Re-Sign), Hansen, Hewitt….this group could be just fine, but based on the injury history…adding a ILB could be a good move. I like the ILB from Oklahoma (Danny Stutsman) b/c he has great size and speed for the position. Same goes for the DT’s….re-sign this group and add one in the draft, does it have to be a RD1, not really.

Two tackling machines in the middle of Ryans defense could do wonders in the run game and taking TE’s out. This is what I would do to help the defense. Check out Emmanwori and Stutsman.

Like Oregon TE, Terrance Ferguson 2nd rd. Better!

A true Duck LOL. I like Ferguson too, not as much as I like Warren/Loveland.

How's Herbert's brother look? Where would you pick the LB that the Stros picked in their draft? James has a future in the NFL, I've got him in the 5th.

Best player available is very debatable and subjective.

I would take
Jahdae Barron; Wyatt Milum; Emmanwori and Kaleb Johnson over Warren. Even Xavier Watts could be right there.

Wanting a TE that blocks doesn't mean BPA but rather need.

Yards and TDs are impressive but 'look at me' says Kaleb Johnson. 1700 23 TDs.

I like those players too, it's the ability to get down the seams and still produce even when double teamed, as well as Warren's blocking that makes me consider him BPA. I do have Nolan rated ahead of Warren and Milum even with Warren.

Derrick Harmon, DT is the only Duck projected in first round (middle) and he’s being slept on (should be top 10 pick). Funny, best team in my lifteime, probably school history and indivdually not graded higher? Great value to be had. Thats without your boy Burch not much of anything because of injury's.

Josh Conerly OT is a stud. Did masterful work shutting down Penn DE Abdul Carter (top 5 pick). Don’t know if he could kick inside (LG) but probably, good feet, size and athleticism. Would not complain taking Jordan James RB in 3rd, low center of gravity, thick lower body combination of balance & explosion. Stewart is complete WR, great hands, route runner, 4th rd. compete for 3rd WR on Texans. Or Tez Johnson, but he will go earlier (2nd rd.) big play ability to seperate. Another tackle/guard, athletic, OT Ajani Cornelis, polished & good scheme fit. Jabbar Muhammad, CB, quiet feet, calm under pressure, one of the easiet underrated corners i’ve ever seen. Last but not least (there are more) is QB Dylan Gabrial, reminds me of Baker Mayfield, has little man syndrome, Samoan, accurate & strong arm with great mobility and leaderdhip.

Give me entire flock of Duck draft picks, hell OC too!

Moved to OT/OG, Earnest Greene III in RD3. Personally, I think he could move inside while improving his overall game. His 35” arms could see him cover Tackle when he’s ready. Also moved RD5 to DT, Yahya Black who should be a nice addition to the DL. High motor who consistently pushes the pocket back. I think he could be a better option than Hinish.
