He has NO say over his own team. None. Zilch. A two time coach of the year. He’s being trotted out and embarrassed like a rookie head coach. This bull baloney about Stefanski being blackmailed. Biggest hogwash I've ever heard.

He should. Haslam will, if he hasn’t already, attempt to black ball himOk. So... Why not, IDK, resign? I've seen it on here that he'd find a job quickly. Well, why not quit if it's THAT bad?

Stefanski is going to stay because he wants to get paid. Even if it means ownership making him play Derrick. Stefanski will get another HC job in the NFL.Stefanski needs to actually have a spine and demand Watson be benched or just resign.
If a player is placed on IR, he still retains the privilege to use the team facilities for his rehab.I'd put him on IR & bar him from the facilities.
To understand the situation, it would be helpful to look at Haslam's previous history starting with Pilot Flying J truck stop criminal investigations as well as his association with the Dixie Mafia. Next review how he has handled his Browns personnel from day 1. Coaches, executives being supported in one breath, then quickly fired in the next with no explanation.Ok. So... Why not, IDK, resign? I've seen it on here that he'd find a job quickly. Well, why not quit if it's THAT bad?
That Watson is helping the Texans in so many ways.
Maybe the Texans should put him in the Ring of Honor.
You’re incorrect. He’s a criminal with a lot of power.First, Haslam doesn’t carry that kind of mafia clout in the NFL owners circle. He’s just a dumbarse owner who can’t get out of his own way in trying to field a winning team.
Second, if he fires Stefanski or he re-signs…..Stefanski will land on his feet in the NFL. Why? He coached the Browns with one arm tied behind his back and evidently a pistol pointed at his forehead. If another owner wants to sign Stefanski, he/she would…..unless Haslam puts a horse head in their bed.
Third, if Haslam doesn’t get his shite together and began building a winning team, the Cleveland fans will abandon him. If Haslam is as big a tough guy as some claim him to be…..he’ll probably have his henchmen waiting outside the stadium to club or kneecap some sense into fans as they leave with their paper bags in hand.
So the question is, why can’t Stefanski do this year what he did last year? Watson was there last year. He played 6 games and went 5-1 as the starter. He wasn’t setting the world on fire, but he wasn’t this bad. The whole aura of the team is just bad and Stefanski is ultimately responsible for that.First, Haslam doesn’t carry that kind of mafia clout in the NFL owners circle. Obviously you did not the Pilot Flying J trials, and even the more recent federal bribery investigations. Owners tried to have Haslam ousted. In a separate meeting Haslam apologized to all the other 31 owners for his involvement and had to threaten and pressure all owners to have his removal taken off the table.First, Haslam doesn’t carry that kind of mafia clout in the NFL owners circle. how was he able to "threaten" and "pressure" other Billionaires..unless he has info about some of their misdealings as well, he could not credibly do such things..But even if he did, then it makes Haslam look less slimey in a den of snakes. Chances are, all these guys have dirt, Haslam is just the one everyone likes least now that Snyder and Richardson are out that is.Obviously you did not the Pilot Flying J trials, and even the more recent federal bribery investigations. Most of us have to be enjoying Watson's debacle, but I guarantee you that Haslam and the Browns is not continuing to play him in order to simply shame him to serve him up for punishment.I agree with these guys. Make him play, he’s horrible and I enjoy watching him stink it up on Sundays.
It's called lawsuits........something that 2 sources contemporaneously related to me that the NFL at least at that time had no appetite for.how was he able to "threaten" and "pressure" other Billionaires..unless he has info about some of their misdealings as well, he could not credibly do such things..But even if he did, then it makes Haslam look less slimey in a den of snakes. The NFL not having an appetite for lawsuits is nothing new...likely more to it than that..as in some individual owners were gonna be exposed. It's called lawsuits........something that 2 sources contemporaneously related to me that the NFL at least at that time had no appetite for.

"look" less slimey. Fairly sure whatever that dude has going on pails in comparision to some of the crap some of these other turd burgers have under wraps.Haslam having dirt on other owners doesn’t mean he is less slimy.
You asked about "pressure" and "threats"..............I answered. The NFL not having an appetite for lawsuits is nothing new...likely more to it than that..as in some individual owners were gonna be exposed.
Since Haslam took the reigns.Destroyed..lol. Twitter and the hyperbole. There was nothing there to destroy. If anything what's going on there has been "on brand" for that franchise since they came back.
But, but, but.............he's such a likeable fellow!!!!!!!!!!
