i might consider it… for three firsts… then immediately place him on waivers.
Plus… he’d be closer to HPD for questioning,
But the cap ramifications??

Yeah I know. Just saying I’d consider three firsts. They’re going to be picking -very- high too.But the cap ramifications??
How many 1st round picks would you need to take that contract? The Browns have first round picks to give to trade him away. The irony.
The gave up 3 firsts to get him. They would have to give up another first or more to get rid of him.
Couldn’t happen to a better owner.
How many 1st round picks would you need to take that contract?
Why would they ever trade him WITH picks, and then STILL have to accrue pretty much the same dead money hit as cutting him? When the Texans traded Brock Osweiler a 2nd round pick was worth 16 million.
Based on the link below Watson is owed 36 million the next two years.
I can’t math very well but it looks like a 2025 1st and 2nd and a 2026 1st would be a starting point.
I will email Slick Nick. He would know.
Why would they ever trade him WITH picks, and then STILL have to accrue pretty much the same dead money hit as cutting him?
Not the same cap hit. I made a wrong assumption in my calculations. OTC knows better.

Trading Derrick, Garrett, Cooper, Britonio, Njoku for picks would be a good start.
But he admirably so avoided the rushers.
Those passes are off target with no zip yet again
Looks like this comment upset Quincy Avery to come out from the burner shadows to his main account lol
LOL. I don’t think he spoke to the media today. But he admirably so avoided the rushers.![]()
Well, to be fair they DID do us a solid by taking the Masseuse Marauder off our hands at a hefty cost..... freeing us up to take CJ.Why are y’all giving the browns good advice?
Well, if they want to restrict guaranteed money... that opens them up to great scrutiny.
I think they mean fully guaranteed contracts.Well, if they want to restrict guaranteed money... that opens them up to great scrutiny.
How long have people had season tickets. Every team hypes up their season and most fall flat while the fans pay for seats year after year at an insane price.
So IF they sour on "guaranteed money" how is that any different than a fan overpaying for seats and the promise of more guaranteed money to the NFL if their team makes the playoffs..... in the Texans case its short lived. (Historically)
IF a team is willing to agree to terms and part of those terms is guaranteed money... keep your nose out of it... or practice what you preach and realize the fans quickly "sour" on your ticket increases.
I never had season tickets but had family that did. When they wanted to get rid of them I said Id take them over.... til I heard how much they paid....
I couldn't help but laugh..... then say.... "Nah, Im good."
AND they are playing in Philly. Somebody might have a bounty on Watson.View attachment 14689
The Eagles have an 82.9% chance to win this contest, based on the implied probability of the moneyline.
I still think if some team is willing to guarantee that much money thats on the team. Every player is a gamble, just like every fan that has season tickets gambles that their team will even be watchable if not the current season.. ones to come.I think they mean fully guaranteed contracts.
Probably Watson put it on himself just so he could justify the massages.AND they are playing in Philly. Somebody might have a bounty on Watson.
