Tank just got better as the season went along. Now, the Texans just need a bigger wideout to take some of those jet sweeps off his plate. A guy that's like 5'9" 185 lbs.

You do have a point - we do need to take a bit off Tank's plate. Having another threat will add some variety and depth to our passing attack.

Tank made Sims expendable when they finally decided to use him on returns. This team needs big plays wherever they can get them. If Tank is not the playmaker he was his rookie year on offense then no reason to “save him” for offense. Get the big plays from him wherever you get an opportunity!
Tank had a 23 yard punt return last week. Which was the longest play the Texans had beside Dare’s fake punt scamper. Special teams accounted for the longest gains of the day for this team. Yikes!

This whole "protect" your player for offense/defense, just never made sense to me. If you've got a nuke, use your dam nuke.

Read Doc’s take on this in the injury thread. I would be shocked if we see him next year. Maybe in 26. And it’s not out of the question, this is a career ender.
Hope the young man can at least walk normally and doesn’t suffer long term issues. As far as football, that’s a much lower priority at the moment. When he was on and at his best, I loved watching him play. So quick and sudden. If he never returns, let’s enjoy the memories and wish him well in life. This game chews people up, and spits them out on the regular. As sad and disappointing as this was as a fan - the show must go on. Nick and Meco have some serious issues at WR to consider.

Hutchinson and Metchie haven’t progressed as well as hoped, Dell’s knee sounds like a right mess and anything we get out of him in the future will be a bonus. Outside of Collins we are back to square one at WR, should have been one of our major strengths carrying over into future seasons with a young talented corps.
Sometimes things don't work out as planned.

I don't know how many plays have recovered from that. As far as Dell is concerned, I wish him all the best in his recovery. As far as the Texans organization is concerned, they must proceed as if Dell will not return.

Purely from a footballl perspective, Texans will need to move on as if Tank is done. If he makes it back…i c[don’t see how he is the same guy. Tank’s special trait was his ability to cut on a dime and his overall quicks and hops. Like a lightening bug. I know modern medicine can do some really cool stuff…but this is asking to much. Without those quicks, he is done. Che isn’t a big possession guy. His straight line speed isn’t special either so he can’t be a guy that just runs post routes. His calling card is now in the hands of the surgeons. We shall see but I am skeptical. I wish him all the luck in the world in his future endeavors.
Assuming the worst…I’d like to see the Texans find a place for him in the building if Tank wants to stay around the game. Maybe develop into a great WR coach or whatever. But personally I think his football career is likely over. Such a damn shame.
