I am but I also like to believe that I am objective. This year's OL version pales by comparison. I guarantee NOBODY is "overrating" this year's version.

Some people tend to overlook how a QB can make his offensive line look better, especially when they were trying to find fault with the QB. f
How about the play shortly after the 15-min mark in the video.
5-man blitz including a stunt.
Without anticipation, the RB wouldn't be able to sustain the block.
Not only that, he read how
I've watched many QBs from USC (Leinart, Sanchez, Barkley) and I had said no.I am but I also like to believe that I am objective. This year's OL version pales by comparison. I guarantee NOBODY is "overrating" this year's version.
Nope, we were just discussing the video clip among us fans. Are you asking me?
Am I speaking Mandarin or something?Um we didn’t see a Coach Ryan’s defense either. Let a terrible quarterback smoke his defense for 300+ yards.
Bottom line CJ played solid for the most part. Exotic defense or not.
Didn’t say you did. Just pointed out Coach Ryans didn’t run an exotic defense either. Neither coach did anything to confuse the quarterbacks.Am I speaking Mandarin or something?
I don't know what you're referring to. I'm not throwing shade at Cj, don't know what you feel like you have to defend.
Ridder didn't look confused. Best game of his careerr.Didn’t say you did. Just pointed out Coach Ryans didn’t run an exotic defense either. Neither coach did anything to confuse the quarterbacks.
Stroud was the only one I thought was a real legitimate QB prospect.
I agree .Stroud received some negativity from NFL fans because he played at Ohio State. However, I doubt that any NFL brass cared. As for previous OSU QB's, aside from Justin Fields, none of them were recruited or coached by Ryan Day. Ohio State's previous coaches ran a different offensive system than Ryan Day. In other words, it's apples and oranges.
You do realize that AJ McCarron was once a Texan, right?I declare that Stroud is already the best QB the Texans ever had.
100% certainty.
I can't tell you how much BS this CYA stuff is from Reich. I posted this in March after the trade by Carolina to get the #1 pick. Finding a QB had to be the #1 point of discussion when Reich was interviewing for the Panthers HC job. In this post, I list Reich's 5 traits for a NFL QB from Reich's introductory presser. Also, a quote from Panthers GM Scott Fitterer fawning over Bryce Young. The entire organization was in on Young.
No one knows for sure. But here are some easter eggs from Franck Reich's introductory press conference.
Frank Reich's "Five traits"
1. Toughness
2. Accelerated vision
3. Footwork
4. Playmakers
5. “X Factor,” referring to players who are great teammates, great leaders and love football
Vision, playmaking, X factor. All attributes that have been ascribed to Bryce Young.
Reich also said he prefers the type of quarterback who can run the ball as well as throw. Edge to Young over Stroud.
Reich's quote on urgency:
“We feel a sense of urgency to win right now, but we also need to understand there are no quick fixes. In today’s NFL, teams can flip the page very quickly. That will be our goal, but we’ll go about it doing it the right way starting at the foundation,” he said. “Every year we see teams going from big-time losing to big-time winning, even competing for championships, all in the space of one year. It’s possible.”
While both Young and Stroud are considered day 1 starters, this would seem to eliminate a project like Anthony Richardson.
Here's Panther GM Scott Fitterer (who was Seahawks scouting director when Russell Wilson was drafted) on Bryce Young:
"I will say that he was a little bit bigger in person than I thought he would be,” Fitterer stated. “But I’ll tell you what—sitting down with him, he was so poised and just so in control. And the way he talks football, it was so fluid coming out of his mouth. Coaches couldn’t even get the question out and he’s already answering, or he went on to answer before they even asked the question because he understands the game so much.
“So, yeah, he’s not a big man, but he does so many things well. He sees the field, he processes quickly, he makes the right decisions and he’s just a really good person on top of it. Really smart, really good person.”
Funny, before the draft, there was no doubt BY could play in the NFL. I was pretty adamant about not drafting him, but his ability to play the game had nothing to do with it.I can't tell you how much BS this CYA stuff is from Reich. When Stroud makes a mistake and he will make a mistake, I'm sure it will be Slowik's fault.Sounds like Slowick is really holding this kid back

This hasn't changed since college. My only concern is that it remains to see if he can get better under pressure. He's close to the bottom in EPA/play under pressure and has one of the worst PFF grades under pressure.
This hasn't changed since college.
Yea, he was awful against Georgia. Stroud is a bust. We need to put him on waivers.
Oh he's pretty freakin dumb when it comes to who he chooses to associate with. Fortunately this hasn't carried over to his play on the field.Remember, CJ Stroud is too stupid to play QB in the NFL.

Geez, you cant even point out areas that need improvement without posts like this. SMH.
End of season: 5,000 yards, 25 touchdowns and say 3 INTs and I am focusing on how he handles pressures.Yea, he was awful against Georgia. Stroud is a bust. We need to put him on waivers.
I think it's because everyone knows Stroud has pressure issues but despite it, he is amazing for 5 games. I'm pretty certain Coach will work with him on improving. That's not what I was saying at all.
It's just an area that he needs to improve on.

For a minute there I thought you were describing DeShaun Watson's background prior to coming into the NFL and becoming a pervert.CJ came from a very poor family with a single mother and worked hard and stayed out of trouble. He could have easily went down the other path. He's humble and apparently very well-liked by his teammates, coaches, and fans with the exception of YOU.
As they say, there's no pleasing some people.
I've said many times I've been pleasantly surprised by how well he's doing. Surely you've seen my posts regarding this. It's possible I missed it but have you EVER posted anything positive about CJ?

surprisingly he actually has...still holds same opinion of CJ on personal level, but he's admitted to being impressed with CJ the baller....so I'll give him that much credit. It's possible I missed it but have you EVER posted anything positive about CJ?

Same thing was said about the sexual predator towel boy.CJ came from a very poor family with a single mother and worked hard and stayed out of trouble. He could have easily went down the other path. I didn't say this. Thanks for connecting the dots for me. It's obvious that CJ is a sexual predator.
It seems to me he's handling it pretty well. He hasn't turned the ball over or taken a sack against Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, and Atlanta. That's THREE games, no sacks and no turnovers.
So I dunno but do we atleast in part owe it to David Tepper for CJ still being on our Board after the Panthers pick ?
