They traded 104 and 203 and got 109 and 174.

Then they traded 105 for a third rounder next year.

Not bad IMO, move back 5 spots to move up 29 spots in later rounds. And then trade a 4th this year for 3rd next year. and we didn't have a 3rd next year did we? Nice move from Riverboat Nick.

Must have not had a specific player that they had to have, maybe the are going BPA with this next pick?

Roschon Johnson is an underrated RB imo. That guy ade something looks like a damn fine prospect at Dline. At corner I’ve got Darius Rush and his speed as my top corner. Those are three guys I could really get behind at 109.

2 most athletic guys at their positions. You could do a lot worse in the 4th rd.

He had an ultra-quick 1.55-second 10-yard split. But in the NFL he falls in the category of questionable..........his body and skills don't meet the ideal requirements of DE, DT or Edge. Anticipating his limitations, in the 4th, he could be a player Demeco employs his creativity by plugging him in differently in different situations.

We forfeited a fifth, then we got a fifth in a trade, and then we used that in the trade up for Anderson (I think), and now we've gotten one from the Raiders. So that 174 is the only 5th we've got.

The poll on this board found an overwhelming majority of people anticipate he will be a good to great quarterback. I was okay with picking him. I feel like he'll be an average starter in the NFL. IMO, if the team can build a great defense and find more weapons for the offense (right now it's basically Pierce - there is no #1 receiver and the TE is on a short contract), in a couple years they could make some noise in the playoffs.

I preferred the Texans would have focused on the defensive side of the ball in this draft, instead they've gone the opposite direction and we'll see how it goes.

How do you figure? They gave up more for a DE/OLB than all rest of picks combined.

Pass rush specialist. He was really disruptive later in the year and really was on the come. Let Demeco and co mold him and let’s see if we have a guy who can be disruptive in the pass game. Plays on passing downs. I like it for the position and we need help rushing the passer. How much he contributes remains to be seen but worth a flyer on in the 4th. Somewhat risky and this is an area you take some risks in. No reason to be either over the moon, or your usual Debbie downer routine unless you think you know better than Demeco Ryans. If so, maybe you can give us your credentials.

With the new coaches, new scheme (yes I said scheme), new attitude, the players we picked up in FA and this draft we are a completely different team!

I’m excited to see them put it all together and win some football games!

but in other ways, Horton has plus strength

The new Horned Frogs staff loved what it saw from him this spring, and pro scouts really like him, too. Horton was good last year with nine TFLs and four sacks, but expect him to be a lot better in 2022. At 6-4, 279, Horton, a high school safety who also excelled in basketball and as a high jumper, vertical-jumped 38 inches and broad-jumped 10-0. He also clocked a 4.55 40 and has power-cleaned 400 and squatted 700 pounds.

It won't be the last pick of the 3rd round... there will be 7-10 compensatory picks at the end of the 3rd... They decided they would prefer a pick in the 80s next year instead of a pick at 105 looking at the board. Not sure why anyone would take issue with that.

I'm not so sure that Demeco is not another Lovie Smith, he certainly drafts like him. A backyard BBQ draft where coaches spin Wheel of Fortune for their draft picks.
