Prospects I Like and Which Day I’d Draft Them

Draft prospects

I’m still researching, but these are the guys I’ve had my eye on. I’ve also specified which day I would draft them.

QB
Day 1- B. Young, CJ Stroud, W. Levis
Day 2- T. McKee, H. Hooker

RB
Day 1- B. Robinson (only if we traded back from 12 into the 20s, but most likely would want to address other needs)
Day 2- Ideally address other needs first
Day 3- R. Johnson, E. Null, S. Tucker, K. McIntosh (there are multiple day 3 options to stock up our backfield to pair with Pierce)

WR
Day 1- J. Addison, J. Smith-Njigba
Day 2- C Tillman, J. Hyatt, X. Hutchinson
Day 3. P. Nacua, M. Wilson, J. Reed, Z. Franklin

TE
Day 1- M. Mayer (only if we trade back from 12 to the 25-31 range)
Day 2- D. Washington, D. Kincaid, S. LaPorta
Day 3- P. Durham, T. Kraft

iOL
Day 1- P. Skoronski, J. Michael-Schmitz (yes I would trade back into Rd 1 from 33 to get him)
Day 2- O. Torrence, C. Mauch, S. Avila, L. Wypler,
Day 3- J. Tippmann, R. Stromberg, J. Scruggs, A. Mafi

OT
Day 1- I think we will keep Howard/Tunsil on the ends
Day 2- same as above
Day 3- M. Bergeron (potentially start on interior and move to outside), M. Evans II

Edge
Day 1- W. Anderson, M. Murphy
Day 2- W. McDonald IV, BJ Ojulari, B. Young (TN)
Day 3- BJ. Thompson

DL
Day 1- J. Carter
Day 2- K. Brooks, K. White, A. Adebawore, T. Tuipulotu
Day 3- M. Ojomo, K. Coburn, D. Stills, K. Turner, PJ Mustipher

LB
Day 1- none that I would take
Day 2- T. Simpson, D. Sanders, J. Campbell D. Henley
Day 3- N. Hampton, A. Miller Jr, M. Mapu

CB
Day 1- D. Witherspoon, C. Gonzalez (yes I would take either of these guys at 12 if they are available)
Day 2- D. Banks, J. Jones, T. Stevenson, D. Rush
Day 3- K. Kelly, M. Brooks, N. Jones

S
Day 1- B. Branch (if we traded back from 12)
Day 2- A. Johnson, JL Skinner, J. Robinson, S. Brown
Day 3- T. Dean III

Question for the QB pundits - are we sleeping on Tanner McKee? I have had my eye on him for several weeks and asked myself the question, why are Will Levis, Anthony Richardson and Hendon Hooker ranked higher than him?
All the reports I have seen paint a pretty nice picture of McKee.
Like Levis, McKee had an ordinary team around him last season including a porous Oline.
For mine, he is a poor man's Trevor Lawrence and some teams likely have him ranked pretty high among the QB'S in this draft - and for good reason. I'm betting he goes much higher than most think - possibly in the first round.
It's likely Texans will run a version of the WCO and McKee is very proficient in it.
If you're the Texans, you could do worse than him and you have the luxury of using your top 2 picks on "can't miss" guys.
Texans could also trade back into the 1st to make sure they get him and have that 5th year option. You might have to burn #65 with #33 to do it or possibly get away with #33 and #73.
A first round of Will Anderson, Quentin Johnson and Tanner McKee would be pretty exciting adding some nice pieces to both sides of the ball.

So are you good with anyone of those three QBs for our 1.2 pick and of course atleast two of them will be there so need
to talk trade with the Bears ?

I’m open to scouting him, but I want to see how he does at the combine and pro days. I know he didn’t have a great supporting cast, but neither did Young this past year and he did well.

And both have NFL talent. And neither should be high 1st tound picks, because they are not ready to step into a starting NFL job. I'm looking for a QB that has less questions about his ability to step in and play.

I feel better about Hooker and Tune than McKee. Just because you ran the wco in college doesn't mean you're going to be good at running it in nfl. I mean Pep ran an offense Mills was familiar with. Hogan and all those guys not named Andrew Luck ran a version of the wco and all sucked.

Yes I’m good with anyone of those 3 at #2. Although I’d potentially be open to taking Anderson at 2 and then trading up for one of those QBs as well.

.

I DON’T want to trade up to #1 with the Bears.
So apparently your top priority is getting Anderson first and then a QB ? Very interesting.
If we are to believe the Draft value chart we should be able to move to 'bout the 5th to 6th overall with the combined value of our #12 and second round pick.

I think it’d depend on demand. If there are multiple teams interested then the value goes up. I’d expect 12 + ‘24 1st, maybe even a 2nd.

One of my favorite prospects in this draft is Nathaniel "Tank" Dell - WR from U of H. I have seen him listed on various draft boards anywhere from the 275th player to the 4th best WR. He is a highlight reel with unique skills and wheels.
I have no idea where he will go but I would definitely spend an early day 3 pick if he is still there.

The combine results are going to reshuffle the deck on many of the prospects in this draft. If Bryce Young is less than 5'11" and 195 lbs he will slide. If Dell runs in the 4.3's he will rise.

Dell is a playmaker!

My main thing would be is where would we play Metchie if we drafted Tank? Doesn’t Metchie mainly play in the slot too?

I would do this trade if I believed in this QB class.

Franchise QB in one draft ad all it costs you is 1-12, 2-32 and a 2024 1st? I'm all in, except I dont like this yrs QB class.
