agreed about the offensive coaches, but i'm leaning on the fact that Demeco's professional career has been tied to the west coast offense

played for Kubiak in Houston, for Reid in Philly & coached under Shanny in SanFran

I wasn't fond of the WCO as run by Kubiak. I just remember at the time feeling it was too predictable and easily defended against.

Also, I have a concern that the more sucessful our offense becomes, the more likelihood our OC will be hired away and we'll be reloading and starting over, although not necessarily from square one.

I personally do not think this game should matter in the hiring process. Will it? I don’t know.

I still lean towards Steichen because I prefer an offensive guy as HC, but I like Demeco and think he will be a great leader and head coach. The problem long-term will be retaining our OCs.

Same here. For the most part I don't think you get to a coordinator position in the NFL if you aren't a leader. Lovie Smith was a leader of men. Good head coach? Not so much. Demeco is definitely a leader. However, I want an offensive guy as head coach.

I prefer Steichen also and like Demeco but how in the world can this game not matter?
 
I havent watched an eagles game at all but im curious as to why Steichen gets all the cred for their offense when their HC is an offense guy (hired from colts OC position and after his work with Phillip Rivers).

Meanwhile, 49ers hc is, as we all know, also an offense guy. Its not like by hiring Demeco, we would be hiring someone that is just following their headcoaches calls.

We dont care, but he speaks the truth.

This certainly isn't the way championship orgs operate, which isn't surprising since the Texans org is being lead by a 86 yr old housewife and he son Cletus/Wife Hannah whose claim to knowing what she's doing is sleeping with Cletus. If we're lucky as fans Hannah will show the same exuberance trying to run this franchise that she did while she was gold digging her billionaire husband. Whatever could go wrong?
