Going into 2023 I want to see _____

That is a misinterpretation of the facts for Gannon. He withdrew because he did not want Lovie as his DC. The slate will be clean this time for him. Not saying he will take the job or that we even offer it to him, but at least tell the entire story.

Gannon will ask and get more money this go around and get say in the picks.

This is the Kool Aid version. It was a packaged deal. It wasn't just Lovie, the packaged deal also included Pep and all of their assistant coaches. It was David Culley - Part II. It's what Caserio knows how to do, his MO, and his pattern of behavior. What else would you expect from an admin facilitator?

I agree.

But, if he is just a facilitator you have to ask who is he facilitating for?

The McNairs.

However, will the McNair’s allow Caserio to be more than that?

Well this new search is much different than the last two.

This time around, the Texans HC’ing opportunity will look completely different than the previous two cycles. There was far too much garbage to deal with and starting in a hole that had little light in it.

Texans do have a nice beginning core of young talent, cap space that hasn’t been available for a while, a bevy of picks in the next couple of drafts, and a team that was more competitive than their record indicated.

I believe Caserio must find a young HC who he will see eye to eye with in regards to building this team.

I read a NC quote off the Texans website where I believe he mentioned he would consider stepping down if the new HC wasn’t comfortable with him. I wonder how that will play out in this search?
