I'm watching Mike McDaniel on the Dolphins sideline and still cannot believe that Mike McDaniel, Kyle Shanahan, Matt LaFleur, and even Robert Saleh are all former Texans coaches. Yet, with all of these young coaches, the Texans hired O'Brien, Culley and Lovie. SMDH.

No self-respecting perspective head coach is going to interview with Houston. By chance a high-profile coach did an interview, his demands would be extreme and ironclad. Much like Jimmy Johnson's contract with Jerry Jones. Cal would've to burn the Kirby Boardroom Round Table because he would have no say in any football operations.

I have nothing against Gannon, he's a fine candidate. I just didn't like how he was selected after he was the last man standing. If he was the guy when O'Connell was still on the board I'd have no problem hiring Gannon.
