2023 Team needs

What do y’all think our positions of need will be next year?

I think we need the following:

Edge
QB (so far Mills hasn’t proven to me that we shouldn’t draft a guy from one of the deepest QB classes in years)
C
WR
LB

More than being a character coach

I was just curious what qualifications are required?

Nobody seems to be able to nail down those qualifications.

He served his purposes, he got Caserio to become the GM. Job well done IMHO

What IYO are the qualifications for Vice President of Football Operations with other orgs?
I looked at 5 teams (Jags, Colts, Titans, Patriots, Steelers) and couldn't find one. I'm sure there are teams that have one that does a legitimate function. The Texans have Jack, who pretends to know things, but real job is the Texans' Littlefinger. Spying on people who actually do work and whispers in Cal's ear between video games.

After the Derrick fiasco, I dont blame Cal for having Easterby checking out what the players are doing in their spare time. After all the failure to monitor Derrick's perversions cost Cal 30 mil.

In Jacksonville, it used to be Coughlin. I did find this and maybe someone can tell me how easterbunny got this gig.

Quoted for truth.

But you can see why Cal would want to check on guys more than he used too.
Serious question, do you know of or is close to anyone who was a 1st rd draft pick in the nfl? For you to to think they don't do extensive background checks, especially on 1st rd draft picks is ridiculous.

LB
SS
OC
RT
RB
WR
TE
DT
DE
RG

In all honesty, I didn't watch Howard on more than 6 or 8 plays .... I do distinctly remember thinking - "Hey .... that's pretty good for him" and "Maybe he really is a one position player" ! Seems like he would have more flexibility than that, based on the fact, that he played QB, FB, TE, and offensive line .... as he grew ! Musta been wrong .... AGAIN !

I'm talking about after they're in the league.

Why would you consider it wasting a pick? Mills is not the answer.

taking another qb high & hoping he’s good enough with no weaponry aint the answer wither unless said qb is thought to be a generational talent….which none of these guys coning out are.

Furthermore We’ve seen how that plays out. The team is so devoid of talent, it wont matter who we have under center until the taldnt level is brought up significantly from where it is now.

This QB class is stacked. I don’t know if I’d risk not getting one.

You know.....I'd use every damm pick on trench players (OL, DL, LB, SS) in 2023. The OL can't block, the DL and LB'ers can't stop the run or passes to the TE, RB, or SWR. I could say with a bit of confidence that the current window dressing(s) on both sides of the ball would look far better with much improved trench play.

This is my concern too. There are too many holes to spend a too draft pick on a QB who will not be set up for success.

We may need to see if Mills/Allen/Warm Body is the answer next year.
