Sexual Assault Suits Against Watson

I hope that a miracle happens, we are firing on all cylinders, and hit our stride and win that game.

Ithink the smirk on my face would last until the next time we faced the Browns

Would be hilarious all the Browns gave up for him.... only to not beat us... and still take their first.

All those “sources” around here panning out to be nothing more than the message board they are spewed on. Love it.
He got exactly what I expected. 8-12 games. Predictable if you aren’t emotional about it

How funny would it be if Watson was arrested by HPD when he comes to town? Based upon everything we've read from Robinson, it's my opinion that a case could be made to charge him with a Class B misdemeanor. A Class B misdemeanor in Texas carries a fine of $2,000 & up to 180 days (6 months) in jail. Only 24 cases were settled by Watson & it's been reported that there were 30 potential victims & possibly as many as 60+. It's already been established that he set up the meetings with an intent to expose himself by his insistence of covering himself with a small towel rather than the more commonly accepted full size sheet. Buzbee needs to push that angle before the Cleveland game. It's also my opinion that, that would give the NFL all it needed to make his suspension indefinite.View attachment 10551

To clarify Watson has settled with 29 of the 30. Original last name Solis still pending

If we win it helps round one pick from the browns. If we lose it helps our round one pick.

It may be best if we just got a tie ..

yesterday radio host stated that Watson will reshape His Image as did Mike Tyson and soon will be loved by many.

Mike Tyson is a real person, good or bad. People are interested in seeing the human condition and how people react to adversity. Watson is not an interesting person. He doesn’t come off as human. He’s an amalgamation of being a coddled athlete mixed with the shittiest aspects of rap and gang culture. He’s not interesting and I don’t think the two people are comparable. At least Mike knew he made mistakes and accounted for them.

Nah, I'd take the win over the Browns.

IF the Browns CAN'T beat the Texans WITH Watson..... image what the season record looks like before he gets out on the field for them.

IF the Browns cant beat us.... one more L on their record can only help the pick we get from them adding even more salt in the wound.

I readjusted my mock last night before final decision by NFL from 11 to 8 for the Cleveland pick thinking DW out 17. May have to rethink it..

Many wanted Watson to never play another NFL down or get suspended indefinitely or get suspended for an entire season. That didn't happen.

However, if we take a step back and review what actually happened. His publicly crafted image as this good guy has been exposed as a fraud and destroyed. He lost all current and future endorsements. After his playing days, he will still be toxic. People say Roethlisberger and Kobe overcame their situations, but these people forget those guys did not have 24+ accusers and lawsuits. He will be booed and heckle at every game, when he's out and about, he will be heckled. For all intents and purposes, the guy is a social pariah outside of Cleveland. For a guy that seems to value his public image, he will never get that image back. Look at any recent media picture of him. It's a scowl or a frown. Gone is the young kid with the bright future and smile.

If Watson is the narcistic, depraved, impulsive, sexual predator that his actions indicate he might be, can he just stop doing what he has been doing? Unless his personality changed due to CTE or came out after he became wealthy, this behavior could go back to Clemson or even high school. If this is who he has been his entire life, the lawsuits will continue and eventually he will get what he deserves.

At this point. The accusers and lawyers got paid. The NFL/Goodell can claim that they don't agree with the decisions, but it was an independent process. Mulugeta and the NFLPA can claim how they fight for their clients. The Texans have draft picks. TT posters can continue bumping this thread, wasting emotional energy and increasing their post counts by posting every response from around the world that doesn't matter. It does not change the current outcome.

I find it interesting that besides a few supportive comments from his Browns' teammates, no active NFL player has publicly supported Watson, but none has criticized him either. Compare to how active MLB players criticized the Astros for cheating. The silence from active NFL players makes me wonder how prevalent are this Instagram sexcapades and is it part of the current NFL culture. Stay tune. The NFL and Goodell better start revising the personal conduct policy.

Of however many outstanding lawsuits remain what is Watsons motivation to settle now ?
And guess our game with the Browns is a win-win situation since a loss to them means we improve the position of their picks we are to receive in upcoming Drafts.

He dared challenge the NFL's faux patriotism for his beliefs and was permanently punished for it. The NFL pays a lot for those military flyovers before games! And the amount of tribute jerseys and camo gear with team logos on it is BIG BUSINESS.

Watson, on the other hand, is just another perv, and let's face it, probably half the owner are, too.

Man, that game left a mark on my brain! :joker:

They never did except to sell pink gear in October and sell posters of sexy cheerleaders in short shorts. lol

I think the short attention span of the general public will be way beyond this by game 12. Look, a squirrel!

Actually the military pays for the flyovers. They basically are just another NFL sponsor. Pilots are required to log regular flight hours anyway, so it kills two birds with one stone.

I've joked about it in the past, but I am 100% serious now. The NFL needs to hire Derek Jeter to speak every year at the rookie symposium to teach players groupie etiquette.

No the NFL nor Goodell can not say they disagree with the decision as they made the decision.

Deshaun Watson’s mixed signals should give the NFL concern
Posted by Mike Florio on August 18, 2022, 2:03 PM EDT

In one breath, Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson expresses contrition and a desire to accept accountability for the behavior that resulted in an 11-game suspension and a $5 million fine. In the next breath, Watson declares his innocence.

The end result? Watson appears to be neither apologetic nor accountable for his behavior.

The juxtaposition is no more stark than it was today. In writing, Watson said all the right things: “I apologize once again for any pain this situation has caused. I take accountability for the decisions I made.”

Then, when he met with reporters, he retreated to his position that he has done nothing wrong: “I’ve always stood on my innocence and always said I’ve never assaulted anyone or disrespected anyone. I’m going to continue to stand on my innocence.”

That position may be news to the NFL. Consider the comment from Commissioner Roger Goodell in the press release announcing the suspension: “Deshaun has committed to doing the hard work on himself that is necessary for his return to the NFL. This settlement requires compliance with a professional evaluation and treatment plan, a significant fine, and a more substantial suspension.”

If Watson did nothing wrong, what will the treatment plan be? What will the evaluation observe? Will he disagree with whatever they tell him, because after all he’s completely innocent?

Remember, Judge Sue L. Robinson found that Watson committed four instances of “non-violent sexual assault.” She found his conduct to be “egregious” and “predatory.” How can Watson enter into any agreement that rejects those findings as inaccurate?

That’s exactly what Watson’s camp is currently doing. His agent, David Mulugheta, has taken public issue with Judge Robinson’s finding, in the aftermath of the announcement of the suspension.

“To be clear, Judge Robinson repeated the NFL’s narrative,” Mulugheta said in a since-deleted tweet. “She received a brief from the NFL weeks before we had the opportunity to talk to her. In our 1st call with the Judge she referred to ‘Deshaun’s pattern of behavior’. Her mind was made up before we ever presented a counter.”

Mulugheta replaced the deleted tweet with this: “Deshaun has always stated he is innocent of sexual assault. Nothing has changed in what he said. He also said he is remorseful, the decisions he made have created this situation. The settlement allows him to move forward with his life and career.”
So, basically, Watson said whatever he had to say and signed whatever he had to sign to get back on the field in 2022. He’s admitting to nothing. It’s no different than a criminal defendant pleading guilty and then proclaiming, “I didn’t do anything wrong.”

In the legal system, such behavior can invalidate the plea. We’ve asked the NFL whether Watson’s refusal to acknowledge responsibility will have the same result.

Our guess is that the league simply wants to move on, the same as Watson. Even if the right thing to do would be to regard the agreement as null and void and issue a suspension and defend it in court, the NFL seems to be primarily motivated to just end it.

That's interesting.. I've listened to a fair amount of rap/hip-hop and have yet to hear any track talking about making continuous unwanted sexual advances on massage therapists.

Maybe I missed that one?

Actually the military pays for the flyovers. They basically are just another NFL sponsor. Pilots are required to log regular flight hours anyway, so it kills two birds with one stone.

So basically the taxpayers get to pay for another part of the NFL's faux patriotic spectacle. Thanks for the heads up. Now it's an even more disgusting display of entitlement. lol

But I'm glad the pilots get some fly time and that's never a bad thing. #silverlining

We pay for the stadiums whether we go to them or not, why not pay for the airplanes since we're not on them?

Yep. Entertainment and military contracts are two of this country's biggest exports, so it's just a business deal, right? :handshake:

And it provides yet another distraction for citizens so we never notice the two wings/one bird political system we've got. lol

C'mon, guys, I understand the anger and hate but let's keep Texans Talk classy. Hoping for injury is bad juju. Let the universe deal with him if "karma" is real.
I hope I didn’t insinuate I wanted him to get hurt. I don’t want that. I want our team to humiliate him. Beat the snot out of him. Within the rules….. and if by some chance he ends up at the bottom of a dog pile and someone wants to go “masseuse “ on him and give him a digit….. well then there you go. Karma!!

I was wondering who would post this post. I knew it would be coming.

My thoughts stand.
