Anyone know if this is legit? Seems like if it is now the women accusing Watson can stop a trade. According to the article 18 of 22 were willing to settle. Seeing it was not all of them...it blocked the trade.

NYG trade Andrew Thomas? Why? He's playing great almost 80 PFF and as you said great contract. Don't see that. Dolphins have the priority need and cap space.

In order to make the trade for DW4. Tell the Giants they trade Thomas for Tunsil or you're calling the Eagles. That's why. The Giants are still getting a quality OT. Plus Miami is having second thoughts about Tua and are warming to him after winning their last 6 games.

The only way to make your scenario possible is if Miami flat out says they don’t want Watson.

Watson has that no trade clause that makes it part of his choosing where he goes. He may not want the Giants but want the Jets. He has a fascination with the color green.

After further review I had to kill Tunsil for Thomas because Giants have NO CAP SPACE. After looking at Giants 2022 salary cap Dave Gettleman is one of the worst GMs in the NFL. He will be fired after this season simply because the Giants salary cap has been so badly managed. The Giants are in Salary Cap Hell.

Gettleman has put the Giants in one of the worst cap situations I’ve ever seen. The contracts he’s given out to mediocre players would make Bill O’Brien green with envy.

This is futhermuckin sweet.
I keep wondering why folks aren’t putting Stingley higher in so many mocks. I’d be tempted if I was JAX to just take him #1. And I don’t see why Hamilton is so high either. My only gripe is Karlaftis. I like him but I don’t like him that high. I’d rather just grab Cross right there and trade Tunsil to another team for picks and a starter. I would even have no problem with WR Treylon Burks at 7. The dude is a Brandon Marshall-Demaryius Thomas clone. But Pickens is really freaking good too, so you really nailed it, man.
Im just being picky and ticky tacky.
That’s the best HOU mock I’ve seen so far.

I agree with your assessment specifically about Karlaftis as he impacts QB but doesn't bring the sacks. Stingley has me cautious due to his Lisfranc + little since his amazing 2019; dude is a super athlete though. Similarly, Hamilton's injury has me cautious and he also is an athletic freak that carries it into games. 6'4" 220 ish and 21 mph GPS probably the fastest safety if he shows at combine.

If I were Lawrence Taylor I'd be screaming Left Tackle to my GM or at minimum a WR.
I also love Treylon Burks but most have him late round one and I hop to sneak him in top of round two depending on trade picks.

Charles Cross is slated about # 12-15 avg with some saying 11 to Broncos and others as low as #22 to Miami. I love him as best LT (only) throw in best LT who can also play OG equally well I have to go with Icky Ekwonu. Those two next to each other? Whoooee!

Stingley's lisfranc is a big concern for me. Hamilton is the best S prospect I've seen since Sean Taylor.

If the Derrick trade were to happen like this, my 2022 picks would be with no trade of Tunsil.

1-5 Hamilton
1=7 Gardner
2-36 Kinnard
2-37 Salyer
3-67 Muma
3- 70 Kolar
3-77 Goodrich III
4- 113 J.T. Woods

I would also trade up using two 6ths for a 5th for RB Kevin Harris South Carolina. He got hurt early in the yr but came back for his bowl game and looked like the stud RB that he is.

This is adding some premium talent right here. Fixes the OL with 2 huge people movers. Generational S prospect. Best/Most healthy CB in this draft. IMHo Adds another CB that had the best bowl game I've seen other than Gardener. Muma is going to be a really good LB in the DeMeco Ryans mode. Kolar reminds me so much of OD, great in the RZ/3rd downs. Best TE since OD. Woods is a perfect fit next to Hamilton because he's great in coverage. Plus if you dont like Harris as much as say RB Charbonnet then you can trade a future pick and add Charbonnet higher in the draft than Harris.

That's 8 difference makers in 1 draft and you've got the future picks to add even more talent. Plus you add a couple more Thomas type FA's. Ahhhh!!!! we can dream, too bad that this isn't likely to happen.

Put this team on the field and I will guarantee you this will be a playoff team by 2023. If not then all of the coaching staff needs to be fired. This team will be so much better off without Derrick. You've got cap space from Derrick to add any FA you want to help add to your team and a long window for championship contention. If Mills cant succeed after adding this much talent in a couple of yrs then he isn't the guy.

I've seen a lot of mocks and rankings that put Salyer down in the 3rd or 4th rounds. 37 may be too high for him.

I' know and I'm hoping that he falls to the top of the 3rd. But he's going to ascend in the draft season. I've got him rated as a top 40 player.

My dream 1st three picks would be

Hamilton/Kinnard/Salyer.

Yeah, I’m thinking Stingley has a complete recovery.
Im just not that worried about it. In his prime and healthy he’s Champ Bailey level to me, and I want that with a top 5 pick. Agreed on Karlaftis. I like him, but that’s way too high for my liking. I like Hamilton too. But I think a CB that shuts down an entire side of the field is more valuable.
A good problem to have is choosing between Stingley and Hamilton.
And I think Treylon is going a lot higher as we near the draft. That dude is a freak too. He just oozes NFL superstar.

Glazer and his kind, like Shefter, Rappaport, LaCanfora aren't real reporters or media. They're hangers on with "sources." They're only there to push whose ever side of the story or interest that provides them any info. I hate it that the networks employ them, but occasionally they do break a big story, and that's the only reason why. 90+% of what they "report" they got from someone's agent or some GM to push their agenda.

But if and when all the litigation is finished and he's not a total pariah in the NFL, then I just want it all behind us and if any team(s) thinks Watson is redeemable then I want to get whatever Draft picks he's worth ASAP so we can continue on with the rebuild of the Texans.

Hey between you and me BB I got a bad feeling how this is gonna end and I'm talking from the standpoint of being a Texans fan.
If I was Casserio & Texans ownership I would sell DW4 cheap given the opportunity if the buyer were to agree to total caveat emptor terms.
I definitely wouldn't demand 3 firsts and multiple second round picks.

With the minimal evidence we have one could argue either side of the DeShaun Watson situation. I would absolutely argue from the higher demand and then negotiate as I thought necessary. Nothing to lose. The issue for me is knowing where he will stand by April 28th. Deposition February cutting it close.

I’m going to continue and lean on the idea that Watson and Hardin have not made their side of the story a public debate. Their side has been pretty much under wraps since all this began. It’s been pretty quiet from the Buzbee front which could mean a lot of things. I haven’t heard of any gag orders being issued….so who knows how all this is truly playing out.

I believe at some point Watson is going to have to settle with these women if the potential court case drags late into the 2022 season. Watson cannot afford another lost NFL season so he’s going to have to pony up and settle and maybe waive his NTC if Miami hopes they can burn the Texans in another trade.

True and we should know more by what the grand jury does in late February. By the 1st week in March we should know if criminal charges will be filed. If they're filed that's a gamechanger and there will be no trades before the draft. Caserio should have framework for deals in place if he's not charged and make a deal as soon as possible to end all of this crap. (I would take less just to get this over with.)

Derrick just got paid 10.5 mil for doing nothing this season and is sceduled to make another 40 mil whether he plays or not next season. He certainly can afford another lost season.

Agree but just to clarify DeShaun Watson has not lost any NFL season yet.

I can see Caserio holding out until gets what he wants. Many said McNairs just want DW gone but I think Nick has convinced Janice not to push another Hopkins deal. 🤔

I feel Watson wants out more than Janice wants him out or at least she can afford paying $1.1 million a week beginning week one than W can afford not getting it. In my opinion that puts the pressure on #4.

Why would he think he won't get it? All signs point to the Texans paying him for nothing. No reason to believe the Texans will start playing hardball.

? You don't think Caserio has been playing hardball? From what CloakNNNdagger has said that Nick has handled Stephen Ross superbly including getting him to commit to paying the settlement fees and as I understand agreeing to the package. Nick refusing to take phone calls from other teams seems to be playing Hardball.

I don't think that's what CnnD said, more like exposing the tampering. Nick Caserio never spoke with Steven Ross.

& no. Hardball would have been stopping all payments & telling Watson we"ll settle in arbitration, most likely after the legal issues are resolved.
