Show me the study that shows where victims finally go seek the help of the police only after someone calls them a name….isn’t the reason they don’t seek it in the 1st place b/c they believe people won’t believe them? In this instance they shouldn’t be “emboldened” to come forward if what actually happens is exactly what they thought was gonna happen.
In that regard It’s at least a reasonable assertion to believe that at least some of the alleged victims’ motivations to come forward are due to “other” monetary reasons…as laid out by Buzzard.
It's so beyond complicated that I find it sad that any man would claim to know a freakin' thing about it.
I don't claim to know what it's like to be sexually assaulted in any sort of way. And neither do the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of men.
But, I am willing to read and learn. Perhaps that should be a lesson for any man in this thread that claims to know what's going on in these women's heads.
Rape and sexual assault are common. So why don't we believe victims?
