So Buzbee is concerned because Rusty Hardin, the lawyer representing Watson, has a son on the department's command staff.
How freaking convenient!
Buzbee should be concerned. I dont trust HPD in this political climate.

I just got a call tonight and was told one of my best friends is in a coma due to a drug overdose.. He went missing last year (stopped talking to his family and friends), until he was picked up on a charge. Due to Covid, they don't keep people long at all. He got kicked right out on a P.R. bond. Was supposed to come straight home, he didn't, and went missing for 2 weeks. Now we get this call. It's a disease that just gets worse. His brother said it was heroin, he never did that **** before until last year.
Sorry about all you have gone through.BTW, put me down as a DW4's a pervert, not a sex addict.

Every day I come looking for an update, every day I am disappointed.
Based on links I shared in previous post on this subject, "only a page or so before this one," there is a good chance that no matter who investigates DW4 for sexual assault, he will get nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

Bill Cosby type justice for most of the rich and famous is a rarity.
I may be in the minority here but I want Justice to be what the alleged victims agree to. If they accept a monetary punishment I'm good with that. What I want or think should happen is not Important. Yes I can gripe and groan and moan if he doesn't go to prison but to some (? $) may be more Significant to her/them than 6 months or more in Prison. And therein lies the ethical dilemma for Texan fans. Hope for full justice and possibly miss out on a bunch of draft picks, or just tone down your conscience a bit and hope for the picks.![]()
Isn't the punishment at the judges discretion? Not all the times. 11 criminal cases, if only one lands. He will see prison time.
Isn't the punishment at the judges discretion?
I will predict that it will be highly unlikely that happens! He will see jail time if convicted.
Bad idea. so it goes. The rich rarely face the judgement that anyone else does. Jail time should come with monetary restitution for certain crimes.I may be in the minority here but I want Justice to be what the alleged victims agree to. People here know my story - 30 years of battling alcohol and drug addiction until a liver transplant when I was 44 years old. And even after all that I still struggled.
I'm working at TDCJ now, Gist Unit in Beaumont. I have a caseload of 67 "clients" and every single one of them have at one point or another either seen drugs take a life close to them and/or taken a life while intoxicated/high (and a lot more life's in part from the introducing drugs to other people but that's a different story). Every one of them have a drug felony charge and they all tell me it's more "the life" than the drug itself. And from a personal experience, I had to say goodbye to 30 year old "partners" - the drugs/alcohol and "the life", the only two things that were "normal" to me. And that's not even taking into account the biological aspects of the addiction.
I have no empathy for Watson. His life (even now) has been a fairytale in comparison to those who struggle with alcohol and drug addiction/substance use disorder.
Thank you for sharing your story. It's powerful, and I'm very glad that you are now on this side of it.
I grew up with addicts in my life, and it was never pretty. I rarely look back on my childhood because of it.
I was married to an addict. I felt the gravitational pull of alcoholism, like it's in my blood and would be my destiny. My own saving grace is having the wisdom of life in my head and a desire to be a good father in my heart. That alone made me get my act together before it became soul-consuming.
I'm like you in that I have a deep sympathy for those struggling with addictions. It hurts me to see anyone struggle, because it all too often does not end in success. It's heartbreaking.
That said, like you, I have absolutely no compassion for Watson right now. Most of the dudes I grew up with went through phases where they were dogs chasing that tail, myself included. It was never an "addiction". It was just young dudes full of testosterone and hooking up was rarely difficult. It never required the kind of mind games and situational manipulation that has been Watson's M.O..
He's a sexual predator. Prison is full of them. They just don't have the money to hire Rusty Hardin.
Bingo. That’s why I don’t understand why the Texas Rangers haven’t been asked to investigate due to the political climate and the number and nature of these issues.Buzbee should be concerned. I dont trust HPD in this political climate.
Based on how the law had handled other rich and famous people it is not hard to make such a prediction. As some others have said, it is unlikely DW4 goes to jail but highly likely he has a financial price to pay.I don’t care to make any predictions on an egregious act like this. If he doesn’t get what is deserved, this again just shows how F’d up this system is.
And if that is known by both attorneys..and I feel it is.. then settle. The District Atty knows it also and unless he needs public attention this could be resolved sooner rather than later. I don't think Watson, the women or NFL want the attention. Only the two lawyers get benefit from attention and Buzbee more than Harden imo.Based on how the law had handled other rich and famous people it is not hard to make such a prediction. The addiction stems from the large number of women in the same profession being called and persued for sex and/or sexual favors. It is not the act of someone simply "chasing tail,". It is obvious that DW4 was on a power trip. DW4 has a need for power and control. While his actions were sexual in nature it is not simply sex that drives him, it is control and power. Still, it is compulsive, sexual in nature, and that is where the compulsive sexual disorder comes into effect. It was never an "addiction"

Sexual addiction? Sexual preditor? Mental disorder? Has anyone commented on the fact that there seemingly is no reported prior history. All the accusations occurred since March 2020. Wonder what a shrink would have to say about this?

People are always telling me I need to go back and read previous post, which I find funny considering it is obvious by the responses I get, that few if anybody took the time to read through my post and click on my links.
DW4 is not a victim and I never said he was. He is the aggressor and he should face the proper punishment. Still he may need psychological help along the way. Also while you all jump on me for stating DW4 may have a sexual addiction and you point out how much worse sustance abuse is, you overlook the fact that a lot of times sexual predators are that way when under the influence of a substance and substances. Nobody has even considered that DW4 may have taken a substance or substances prior to his dealings with many of these women. It does not matter because unless a person is unable to know right from wrong, they deserve to face the full punishment that comes from breaking the law. Knowledge of right and wrong supercedes any addiction and I have no doubt in my mind that DW4 knows the differece between right and wrong and he knew that when he tried to force himself on many of his accusers.
Still yet I think DW4 needs to face his demons and acknowlege he has a serious mental disorder. The many women he called to do massages on him tells me he has a problem. Covid is not a valid excuse. He chose victims and got off on it.
Fame and money add up to opportunites and the luxury he did not have prior. Also there is no telling what skeletons may be in DW4's closet.Sexual addiction? Sexual preditor? Mental disorder? Has anyone commented on the fact that there seemingly is no reported prior history. All the accusations occurred since March 2020. Wonder what a shrink would have to say about this?
He did not rape any of his accusers so I doubt his punishment is anywhere near 40 years to life. The sad fact is that many times serial rapist don't even get convictions that long.Yes, he should be punished like any other serial rapist if found guilty in criminal court. Punishment should be being the QB of the Mean Machine for 40 yrs to Life.

I haven't found where he forced full sexual intercourse, but he allegedly did rape them more or less by forcing them to perform oral sex on him. If true, I hope they lock him under the prison he is incarcerated in. Still I think he has a compulsive sexual disorder, but it is highly unlikely given his profession, that he admits he has a problem and seeks help. Since that is the case I hope he spends many years in jail. I hate not getting a big return by trading him but for the victims sake I hope he is incarcerated for a long time!According to what I read he "forced me to have sex with him". That sounds like rape to me. The question is was it one of the civil case women or criminal? If you Google: Watson rape charge you will find it
It is not only in the locker room where we misread people but the fact is a lot of people get away with living a secret life. From pedophiles, thiefs, serial rapist and all the way to serial killers, there are many people we think we know but we really don't.Only to find out that they don't have any idea what the player is like outside the safety of the locker room. A good little read and reality check.
So is substance abuse. Yes it is true that people do all kinds of bad stuff while on illicit substances, but they go to prison for criminal acts just the same as anybody else. As long as you know the difference between right and wrong when you commit a criminal act, and it can be proven, than you can not use addiction of any kind as an excuse.Sex addiction, as e know it now, is certainly used as an excuse for a lot of bad behavior.
I think that's a possibility. It is not only in the locker room where we misread people but the fact is a lot of people get away with living a secret life. From pedophiles, thiefs, serial rapist and all the way to serial killers, there are many people we think we know but we really don't.
Serial killers, Dennis Rader aka BTK, Gary Ridgway aka The Green River Killer, Cannibal Jeffery Dahmer, Ted Bundy, Killer Clown John Wayne Gacey..the list goes on and on. That's just the tip of the iceburg. Do a search on serial rapist and read about plenty of them who nodody suspected.I think that's a possibility.
Signed,
BTK
Good point. My guess is if everyone suspected the perpetrators of serial crimes then they wouldn’t have become serial.![]()
Hey Steel sorry but I'm just a dumb-azz, innocent commoner-taxpayer down here in Clear Lake while you are clearly a savvy guy plugged into the political climate, so what do you mean by this comment ?Buzbee should be concerned. I dont trust HPD in this political climate.
Houston attorney Tony Buzbee has been at the center of the story. He has been quite outspoken on social media about the case. Yet, despite initially claiming he would provide evidence to police regarding his clients’ accusations against Watson, Buzbee pulled a 180 on Tuesday. Are you saying because the mayor & DA are Dems they will have bias in favor of DW4 ?
Doesn’t Hardin have a son at HPD? Also do you honestly believe that if Buzbee had a son at HPD and there was not a single Democrat judge in the entire county that DW’s attorney wouldn’t be crying foul?Hey Steel sorry but I'm just a dumb-azz, innocent commoner-taxpayer down here in Clear Lake while you are clearly a savvy guy plugged into the political climate, so what do you mean by this comment ?

I ask a question and your response is two quesitons of your own ? Sorry man that's not helpful.Doesn’t Hardin have a son at HPD? Also do you honestly believe that if Buzbee had a son at HPD and there was not a single Democrat judge in the entire county that DW’s attorney wouldn’t be crying foul?
Oh I answered it. you just don’t like the answers because you failed to answer them.I ask a question and your response is two quesitons of your own ? Sorry man that's not helpful.
I know very little about Buzzbutt other than he's a very successful litigation lawyer.

Why are we even debating all this without evidence? What I have seen so far is people projecting their personal feelings and using them as proof that DW4 is guilty of all the accusations against him. I feel that he is guilty, but until this case is closed I really do not know anything for sure. It's nothing but a weak, unsupported defense for an alleged sexual predator, and there is no reason to continuously repeat it without evidence.
Thanks appreciate the straightforward answer.
