NFL DRAFT

QB- Davis Mills (Stanford) to the Texans. I didn’t follow him but now I need to study up. The quick blurb on the Draft was nice and the words spoken about him were encouraging.

The Texans are saying, with this pick, Watson is gone, gone, and gone. Hope they move him either at the trade deadline when some team could be extremely desperate or when the off-season begins and teams have the 2021 season to assess their QB situation before making offers for Watson. Either way....Texans should cash in for the 2022 and 2023 NFL Draft(s).

Cause HOU has no QB. This puts to bed the clown show of Watson. Mills is a top ten pick without the knee if he went back to school.
What part of Caserio signing QB Tyrod Taylor and trading for QB Ryan Finley do you consider not having a QB. What part of Mills accuracy issues, weak arm, no experience, injuries do you like best?

The next couple drafts are coming up HOU.
This pick isn’t the end of the world. Mills has elite level upside. He can sit for a year watch and learn.
In the meantime HOU can wait for the idiot to settle and then trade him for a nice ransom.
The Watson era just officially ended.

I'm fine with Mills. There's 20 different arguments for taking 20 different players, so I'll defer to Caserio as he's probably more in tune to what's going on with and the direction they want to take the team to get us going in the right direction. I would have been fine with a dozen other players too. Caserio lives this $hit, I visit it a few times a day on a msg board.
Seriously, how excited did you expect to get over the 67th pick in the draft?!?

I was expecting to cash in, but I still hate the pick. I wish we would’ve gone in another direction.

He doesn’t have a weak arm or accuracy issues, your just flustered. Also, who cares if they take a flyer on a QB with elite traits? They are trading Watson once he settles, and he will settle, and the next 2 drafts they will be playing with house money. So what if they waste a 3rd. They suck this coming year anyways. But if he pans out it’s a huge net gain.
And neither Taylor nor Finley (LOL) are answers. Cmon, man. They are short term contracts.

top ten?

No.. EVERYONE knew Watson was gone long time ago. This pick is saying we have no idea what we are going to do in the future.

Well our next pick after #109 was #122 but Caserio traded that away for you know, the 32 year old T Marcus Cannon who was going to be cut anyways.

They have a chance to maximize Watsons value again now. After June 1st, Texans save 10 million on his contract if they then trade him.

Take the David Mills Griping/defending crap to another thread. Posts beyond this post will be deleted.

Nick Caserio griping too.
Yeah let's see him in action before we make up our minds.
My biggest concern now is do we have the coaching staff to bring along a rookie QB?

So what if they wasted a 3rd? Are you serious? They could have draft an plug and play OC who would be here 10 years. Wasting 3rd rd draft picks, that's what Caserio does. Thanks for pointing that out.

DW4 will be traded in 2022 before the draft after his league 1 year suspension IF his legal troubles have been settled and are behind him. The Texans will have the #1 pick in 2022 and choice of the best QBs in the draft. They could Trade DW4 for the 2nd or 3rd pick in the draft and a host of other picks. Then they could trade the 2nd or 3rd pick in the 2022 draft for a bonanza of more picks. BUT SOMEHOW SOMEWAY I KNOW THE BELICHICK CLERK WILL SCREW THAT UP.

Where the hell is @steelbtexan? He knew another Belichick Clerk FUBAR was coming and decided to duck out.

Hanging out with friends watching the draft.

BTW, we don't know this. We do know that Mills has talent. He's started something like 5 less games than Lance and against better competition..

With that said, I would have picked Ossai.

Sieg Heil! What the hell do you people think is going on around here? Do you think this is a message board? If the mod loves him some Nick Caserio and Davis Mills thou shalt not voice your displeasure.

Voice your displeasure in a Nick Caserio thread. I'm just trying to keep those interested in the draft from reading all the griping

Not really wanting to argue here but it was a Nick Caserio DRAFT DECISION that is being discussed in a draft thread.

Texans take a player I originally wanted in my Mock’s.......welcome to Houston Nico Collins!!!!! If anyone thought Caserio missed on Mills, well he just redeemed himself with this pick.

You know my post was in jest. Mills may have talent but it's not NFL talent. His arm strength is not NFL caliber. Ball does come out of hand quickly but not much zip, Mills is susceptible to many INTs in NFL. Mills makes quick decisions but already makes bad decisions, had 17 turnovers in 1 1/2 years. But we know the real reason Davis Mills was drafted, HE WENT TO HIGH SCHOOL AT GREATER ATLANTA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL :) He will make Janice very proud of her new QB.

The Texans will have choice of QBs in 2022 and top qbs will be better than Mills which would make Mills a wasted pick.

From what I've seen, he's got plenty of arm. I will admit I haven't seen much of him

Texans next picks:
RD5-03-147
RD6-11-195
RD6-19-203
RD6-28-212
RD7-05-233

C/G- Meinerz (UWW) and RB- Carter (NC) are still on the board. Texans are going to have to hope these guys keep slipping. I thought Ben Cleveland might be on the board but it figures the Ravens would take him.

Maybe Caserio sits tight and tries to get a 2nd pick in RD5 with his RD6 assets. Offense is still a deep draft.....maybe Caserio sees some gems in RD6.

Well, Meinerz is gone to DEN.

Yeah, I would be down wilth either too. I really like Collins game though. Lord, HOU needs a big possession guy bad.
I forgot about him. I’m betting CLE was taking him and Caserio jumped them. They just took Schwartz.

I think Collins will be special by 2022 b/c the receiving spots are currently full. I think they’ll give familiar routes this season while letting him learn route trees and how to sale them. That break away speed will surprise many.

I didn't know we had 2 4ths?
Houston traded a fourth-round draft pick (109th overall), fifth-round selection (158th overall) and a 2022 fourth-round draft pick to the Carolina Panthers, in exchange for the 89th overall selection.
