All I know is, I think Easterby is under-qualified and over-paid to hold the position he does within the organization and I believe he holds too much sway over personnel decisions. That said, I don't know these things are fact nor do I own any portion of the team. The only control I have over the matter is whether or not I support the team.
Hopefully they got the GM right and the get the HC right. If they did and they do, I don't care what the McNair's do about Easterby.

In other words, if Easterby walked into Belichick's office trying to suggest "personnel changes", Belichick would cut him off at the knees like a sleeve on a hoodie.
So there you are assuming Easterby got anyone cut or traded. That's cool. That's fine. I'd just hate to fire somebody for something he didn't do.
Okay. That's fair. My point is he had a different role with the Patriots. It doesn't matter if Brady was onboard because he would never be an interim GM with the Patriots. He would never be over football operations with the Patriots. You can't play devil's advocate on this topic because his role is totally different than it was with the Patriots or Chiefs.
IF this is true. What are the odds he ends up in Jacksonville with Urban Meyer? Maybe with Easterby around, Meyer can achieve that work-life balance to avoid his health issues.

I think Brady was saying is that God heard the team’s prayers because the Seahawks threw for the touchdown and got intercepted instead of having Marshawn Lynch run it in for the easy TD. Only believable explanation for that play call. The praying the preacher influenced worked.
Again, it's because of the way Easterby is being perceived that he is even an issue here.
The way he's being perceived is totally different than the way he was perceived in New England regardless what his title was.
All the stuff being laid at his feet are things that have been Texans problems before he was here & most likely will be here when he's gone. Just like all the other scapegoats that have gone through in the past.
So yes, when someone says, "I bet tom Brady would..." I feel a reply like "Brady was cool with him." Is appropriate.

I think whether Easterby is at fault for whatever he's being blamed for (or not), it's to the point where the only way to get the widespread and vociferous outrage that's being expressed by everyone, behind us. He needs to take one for the team and be gone. It's not going to go away...players, coaches, head coaching candidates, personnel & salary cap people, all of them, they're not going to want to come here as long as Easterby is around. Fire him, let him resign, whatever...but he's got to be shown the door. I'm sure he's expecting it, he's got to be. But just do it and be done with it once and for all so we can move on.

In the SI article it said 90% of the people in the building didn't trust Easterby. If that isn't a toxic work environment I don't know what is.

I get your point but if the Texans had problems before Jack E, what exactly has he contributed to making things better? From VP of Team Development to VP of Football Operations, Jack is very much an opportunist and probably fool's gold. And no matter how he received the titles/responsibilities, he has input where he most believe he shouldn't. Not that OB was the brightest in evaluations but look at what he says regarding Easterby in a Sept 2019 Chronicle article, "He’s got a great energy about him and he’s very bright. Great organizational knowledge of how to structure an organization,” the sixth-year coach said. “Everything from the cafeteria to the weight room to contracts to roster decisions. He has a good knowledge of football, personnel, skill sets, what we’re looking for." Where did Easterby learn those things especially on the contracts, personnel, roster decisions and skill sets? My opinion is Jack's influence is more about the ineptitude of the Texans and I'm not confident that it (the ineptitude) changes any time soon.

Fact is this is all on ownership, what I find most amusing is fans wanting to get rid of all things Foxboro, but Caserio just signed a big 6 yr deal.

That is the issue. Even if Easterby's influence is exaggerated. At the end of the day, what qualifies him for those roles/responsibilities with the Texans? Also, if he still has his role as Shaman, minister or counselor and players are sharing private details with him, if he's involved with personnel or roster decisions, isn't that a conflict of interest? It's just a total mess and it starts with Cal. So much for that flat org structure.

For most folks I 'ass'ume that Easterby needs to go and a strong coach should be hired. Moving DW4 is not a smart move unless he becomes James Harden like, which I do not see. In order to get a strong coach Easterby probably needs to go ASAP.

Apparently you don't want a GM who has built 3 SB teams, won multiple AFC Championships and picked more pro bowl players in late rounds than maybe anyone in the NFL. Yes, he helped Hoodie with ALL of that.
The Patriots Way is an easy way to say everyone knows what they do and how to do it. Have you seen the video "Do Your Job"? It shows that when you have a staff and players who know when and what to do you have a very high odds of winning. Here, I went and got the link to the video for you.
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with how stuff is done. And 6 SB wins, 3 with OUR GM working with Hoodie, say it's very effective.

Trade Deshaun and the Texans experience a fan revolt that they might never recover from, especially if it's a domino-effect to JJ getting pissed and leaving. Even casual fans see JJ as a hero. So keep Deshaun at all costs.
Fire Jack and Cal appears to bend to the will of players and fan/media pressure. He would appear weak as an owner. Maybe even upset his new GM in the process.
So figure out a way to make Watson somewhat happy - i.e. hire EB as HC - and move Easterby to VP of concessions or whatever (or even give him Jamey's job when he leaves).

Now I ask, when was the last time there was this much brouhaha about a culture coach/Chaplin and a public relation exec?
Look I don't like Jack Easterby, never have. However when I started reading and watching the first articles about Jack I thought WOW this is yellow journalism, these guys are not reporting they are really going after Easterby. They're trying to do personal harm. Then when it was reported that Rootes fired Amy they did not retract their stories or apologize they just poured on more gasoline on their Easterby fires.

I don't disagree with you about so much smoke about an unknown exec and a character coach. Which is why all of this is so weird.
Easterby was already in the media before the election, tho'. He was being called out for tampering, and was already on their radar for lying about his credentials in various places. He left NE in a huff because the Kraft scandal. He lied about them offering a lifetime contract. But, there are many articles praising the guy before all this stuff. It's absolutely bizarre.
I'll read your links when I get home. Thanks for taking the time to post a reply. Honestly, there's no desire to argue, but like I said, I want more information because this entire situation is almost Twilight Zone.
