I bet Brady avoided this guy like the plague.
Brady was into all that team stuff hence why he was taking well below the salary he could command for so many years. He’s the reason why that dynasty lasted as long as it did.

I bet Brady avoided this guy like the plague.
Quarterback Tom Brady says it wasn’t under-inflated balls that helped the New England Patriots clinch the AFC Championship. It was the team chaplain.
The 4-time Super Bowl winner is telling people that Jack Easterby, 31, gets a lion’s share of the credit for the Patriot’s season, which culminated with a final win against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
“He’s just a great person and friend,” Brady told ESPN. “You feel a special connection with him and with his genuine caring for all the people in his life.”
Peter King reportedly said that Jack Easterby is getting his pink slip really soon. And, I quote: “he’ll be gone within a week.”

True. But would he have been onboard if Easterby told him that Gronk partied too much and needed to be cut?But Tom Brady was on board with Easterby.
True. But would he have been onboard if Easterby told him that Gronk partied too much and needed to be cut?
In other words, if Easterby walked into Belichick's office trying to suggest "personnel changes", Belichick would cut him off at the knees like a sleeve on a hoodie.
Okay. That's fair. My point is he had a different role with the Patriots. It doesn't matter if Brady was onboard because he would never be an interim GM with the Patriots. He would never be over football operations with the Patriots. You can't play devil's advocate on this topic because his role is totally different than it was with the Patriots or Chiefs. So there you are assuming Easterby got anyone cut or traded. That's cool. That's fine. I'd just hate to fire somebody for something he didn't do.
IF this is true. What are the odds he ends up in Jacksonville with Urban Meyer? Maybe with Easterby around, Meyer can achieve that work-life balance to avoid his health issues.Peter King reportedly said that Jack Easterby is getting his pink slip really soon. Again, it's because of the way Easterby is being perceived that he is even an issue here. You can't play devil's advocate on this topic because his role is totally different than it was with the Patriots or Chiefs.
Team, yes. Easterby, not so much.Brady was into all that team stuff hence why he was taking well below the salary he could command for so many years. He’s the reason why that dynasty lasted as long as it did.

Patriot "tree" Time for Easterby to "leave" see what I did thereTeam, yes. Easterby, not so much.
Based on this dude having more power than anyone but Cal and Mom, I thought he deserved his own thread now! This was under the radar for me, I thought it was a good hire to have someone like him and his experience around, but man I missed his power and influence. Basically he has Cal's ear and is to bang heads of BOB and GM when they disagree or make the call. Welcome to town Boss!
This link is a read of what I thought we hired, a guy about culture and building the team from the inside

I get your point but if the Texans had problems before Jack E, what exactly has he contributed to making things better? From VP of Team Development to VP of Football Operations, Jack is very much an opportunist and probably fool's gold. And no matter how he received the titles/responsibilities, he has input where he most believe he shouldn't. Not that OB was the brightest in evaluations but look at what he says regarding Easterby in a Sept 2019 Chronicle article, "He’s got a great energy about him and he’s very bright. Great organizational knowledge of how to structure an organization,” the sixth-year coach said. “Everything from the cafeteria to the weight room to contracts to roster decisions. He has a good knowledge of football, personnel, skill sets, what we’re looking for." Where did Easterby learn those things especially on the contracts, personnel, roster decisions and skill sets? My opinion is Jack's influence is more about the ineptitude of the Texans and I'm not confident that it (the ineptitude) changes any time soon.Agreed. Firing Easterby isn't going to change the way Houston does things. The problems that were here before, that wasted Andre & Watt's career... will still be here. But, the fans & the inmates will be happy Easterby is gone.

Nice Hogan's Heroes reference. That should be the motto of the Texans. They know nothing. They see nothing.Firing Easterby will not change anything. Cal is still Cal and Caserio is still the Patriot that Easterby is. Once you've created Stalag 13 you don't need Sergeant Schultz to run it everyday.
and I do still believe Easterby is being made the scapegoat for something that Cal himself wants.....sucks for him, but it is what it is.

I believe Cal McNair knows exactly how people feel about Easterby. That includes some of his players and others within the organization. ... I don’t see McNair firing Easterby, but I could see Easterby resigning. I don’t know why he’d want to put up with this constant barrage of criticism’s that’s being directed at him. It’s not going to let up because Easterby will always be closely associated with Bill O’Brien.
What I know for certain is that Watson will not be traded no matter what you read or hear anywhere.
Watson will be kept in the loop when they get close to hiring a head coach. They’re not close now because Caserio started Monday. I believe once Caserio talks with Watson — and McNair, too — everything will be fine. But there’s still the Easterby issue. Watson has said nothing since his last Zoom interview with us last week. He talked at length about what kind of coach he wanted. Hopefully, they’ll get the right guy.
Watson isn’t going anywhere even if he wants to. He’d never do what Harden did — quit on his team.
Caserio won’t be firing Easterby, his good friend. Cal McNair would have to do that.

Whomp-whomp.
Just get us a head coach, Cal, that's all I care about. Although I don't think that's going to happen until the end of next week, at the earliest.
I was really hoping Cal was smarter than he looks. No such luck. He needs to sell the team before he squanders his dad's fortunes.
Bigger man than I thought. May be the right guy to lead the Texans.
What part of, "I'M NOT an EASTERBY fan, never have been" did you not understand?
As far as receipts go I am sure your Google works much better than my DuckDuckGo.
You really do get triggered by Easterby don't you?
Let's review the timeline, it may not mean anything to you but it does to me.I've never accused you of such a thing.
I'm just asking you to back up the claim YOU keep making: "SI/PFT/NBC Easterby character assassination hit pieces"
Neither Duck Duck Go nor Google support anything you are saying in any sort of way.
I'm not here to argue about it. I'm sincere in requesting some sort of substantial information so I see the bigger picture.
It's okay if it's just your opinion. I'm not going to call you out for it. Why do you seem to get emotional for a simple request to help me comprehend your oft-repeated claim?
If it really is a hit piece, then I want to know so I'm not out there running my mouth without evidence. That's all I'm asking. We are on the same side.
Not at all. I'm just having fun. Aren't you?![]()
Let's review the timeline, it may not mean anything to you but it does to me.
Nov. 3 - US election
Nov. 7 - Amy Palcic on her social media accounts congratulating and promoting Kamala Harris.
Nov. 11 - Palcic fired for not being a "Cultural Fit"
Personal Note: How does your award winning, well liked, most appreciated VP of Public Relations get fired for not being a "Cultural Fit"? Firing someone for political differences is just plain wrong, mean and nasty. I'm sorry but to me this has Janice McNair's doings all over it.
Many of Amy's media friends reached out to Amy after her firing. By the end of the day the cockroaches at NBC/SI/PFT were coming out of the woodwork with pitchforks and fire ready to tar feather Jack Easterby:
Former Patriots chaplain Jack Easterby is at it again down in Houston | RSN (nbcsports.com)
Texans fire top P.R. executive, citing lack of "cultural fit" - ProFootballTalk (nbcsports.com)
Jack Easterby's rise to power and mismanagement of Houston Texans - Sports Illustrated
Peter King: Texans exec Jack Easterby a ‘hated man’ (radio.com)
Now I ask, when was the last time there was this much brouhaha about a culture coach/Chaplin and a public relation exec?
Have another read I did some editing. Simple question, what was the cultural fit or lack of that got Amy Palcic fired?I don't disagree with you about so much smoke about an unknown exec and a character coach. Which is why all of this is so weird.
Easterby was already in the media before the election, tho'. He was being called out for tampering, and was already on their radar for lying about his credentials in various places. He left NE in a huff because the Kraft scandal. He lied about them offering a lifetime contract. But, there are many articles praising the guy before all this stuff. It's absolutely bizarre.
I'll read your links when I get home. Thanks for taking the time to post a reply. Honestly, there's no desire to argue, but like I said, I want more information because this entire situation is almost Twilight Zone.
