Week 16: Bengals playing Spoiler

You may say I’m a dreamer but I’m not the only one
Commentators getting on this D for their effort. Fair comment. I hope people don’t have revisionist history when thinking about RAC, he took over a decent D from Wade and it stayed OK for a few years, but he’s overseen a big decline here.

Trying to throw a football forward while getting your hand stuck in a face mask is super dangerous for his elbow. I am sure @CloakNNNdagger will give us his concerns at some point
Yes I understand that.. greatly increases the pressure on the elbow, but it looks like we dodged a bullet, because he immediately went to the hand and never messed with the elbow. He was even pumping his fist to make sure everything still worked.

I still expect his elbow to start to swell after the first hit earlier.. could explain the missed overthrows after that hit.. he left a lot of throws high after that.

Brees
Wilson
Watson

That’s 1-2-3 in completion percentage among starters. Hard to call it a skewed stat. That’s with the highest YPA in the league. He’d be the first to tell you there’s room for improvement, but let’s be realistic about it.

And each of those mentioned in percentages are in their own unique situations. Of the three Wilson has had best deep threats. This is what makes the Hopkins trade so horrific. Just as valuable if not more that franchise LT Tunsil. Such a great complimentary WR, but I digress.
Getting a clean pocket allows him to plant and drive the ball harder and farther, which when that happens now, a rarity, the ball sails. Break down the tape within the states. And everybody, I thought, knew Brees is a dink and dunk QB now, when he heaves it up he’s banking on his WR to win the match-up just like Hopkins use to do for Watson.

It may be one of those injuries that reveals the seriousness of it only after the game. Once the adrenaline has been extinguished.

They were more than complicit. They pretty much encouraged the collapse of their own team. They signed off on all of it.

Oh well. Maybe the players can win some games in 2021 in spite of ownership.
Which is why I don’t trust they’ll get it right, I hope they do but if you’re that moronic and absentee to let what transpire occur then I just don’t trust you have the capacity to turn it around and not make some foolish decisions again.

Ugh, looks like the Titans are going to take the south.

The last crappy nail in a craptacular year.

Have to say I'm disappointed we didn't win this game when David Johnson had 100+ yards rushing & Cooks had 100 yards receiving.

Did the Bengals punt today?
Why do you hate to say you’re disappointed in the Texans? It’s why they exist...to disappoint their fans. And this particular version of the Texans are very, very good at it. They’ve had a ton of practice doing it. This is pretty much the same team, on defense especially that is responsible for 51-7. No shame in being disappointed by this team. They are the new and improved factory of disappointments. Expert craftsmen in their, pardon the pun, field. Their moto is You Thought We Were Going To Win, Didn’t You. Each loss is lovingly handcrafted for your pain.
