BILL O'BRIEN FIRED

considering you and others thought that
we were just a qb away before any of that happened, your swearing up and down how Clowney was gonna go elsewhere and dominate...you and the others lose any credibility. It’s never just about 1 player or in this case 1 coach. Team game playboy.
Do you not even read the board? I've probably been Clowney's biggest detractor on this board, once again you don't know what you're talking about.

And your boy OBrien has also left the team in bad cap shape! You've defended this guy for years while he ran this team into the ground.

Can't agree with that. McNair gave a complete psycho total control and wrecked this team for many years. But at least I don't have to hear any more f#*%&*g after game talks by butthead.
Cal had to his time to his daddy pick. Then pulled the trigger. Its like putting your dad dog down.

Now we see Cal and his vision. Very least potential

Given full power to do whatever he needed to do to win Bill OBrien:
-Trades DHop for peanuts
-Acquires a rag tag group of injured WRS.
-Acquires David Ahman Green Johnson
-Let’s DJ Reader walk.

We lose a game because Glassman bobbled a Nuk routine catch. Run game is worse than it’s ever been. David Johnson is exactly who he was last year; third string at best. Oh and we can’t stop the run.
-Attempts to bring a locker room cancer into the locker room; veto’ by players.

Plus the Clowney and Brown moves. Everything Bill touches, turns to ****. He’s left this franchise older, slower, and less talented. I don’t which version of Bill OBrien (OC, HC, or GM) is the worst. The OC was liar. Gave us hope we’d have any adapting on the fly.
The HC was clown. Given the tools to succeed he shits the bed and doubles down on the OC.
The GM was a criminal. Not only does he double down on the HC but he spends our future trying to save his current.

When DW4 fails who is TB going to blame then?
IF. The word you were looking for was IF. Not WHEN.
I understand that you're not a fan of DW4 for whatever reason, I believe you to be wrong on your assessment of him, but do you honestly think that a HC who would actually institute a system and game plan that fits Watsons strengths can't turn him into an upper echelon QB. You can't deny his talent, it's clearly there. Not saying he doesn't have his faults because he does, but he is definitely more of a reason for the wins we have had since he got here than the losses we've had. I do think he's next on the block, and should be,, if he doesn't take us where we all want to be when the next HC is hired. But time will tell. So IF, not WHEN.

Easy GM was worst. We will feel butthead's GM decisions for years to come. We need to rebuild almost all positions with nothing to rebuild with. MF gave away our talent and draft choices and cap space and got nothing in return.

I've said more than once that what's wrong with DW4 while it may get some better it wont be enough to win a championship. We're in the middle of a dark decade. It's going to be a long 4 yrs. Hope I'm wrong.

Even though I’m stoked, he completely ruined this team, I think it will be hard to find a good GM and HC. I feel like it will take YEARS to get this team back to form.

It was O’Brien’s thirst for power that did him in. Not the 0-4 start. Hopkins balling out. Cooks and David Johnson coming out like a lead balloon. Had a GM made these deals, the pressure would have been on him rather than Billy Oh. O’Brien would still have a job.

The right guy can turn this organization around. We’ve seen it done many times. Time for the Texans to finally luck into the right guy.

Obrien has traded away great players and draft picks in his panic mode to save his own job.
Which I wouldn't have a problem with if it worked out. Even if he came close.

I'm not saying the team gave up on him, but we couldn't move the ball. Then yesterday when he was calling plays, it looked even worse... then he after the game he says, "We didn't do anything different. I called the play in to Watson, but the decision making process was the same as it's been."

Truly, I wanted him to succeed more than I wanted him fired, but if not for the hero ball, we haven't been playing winning football for a long time.

So nice seeing all these familiar faces posting again.
It feels good to be able waste time thinking about and caring about the Texans again :) Rooting for us to lose so that they would be forced to fire buttchin and not looking forward to watching the games has been awful. I cut off the Texans completely after the Hopkins trade. Didn’t read the sports page, follow the message boards or even watch the draft. The Texans broke their contact with me as a fan with that trade. If the team is not doing whatever it can to win why should we care. That was the worst trade of my life. I’m glad they finally are taking the first and most necessary step to create a winner here. Today was a great day.

"Former Houston Texans coach Bill O’Brien may have lost the team after the club’s 33-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2.

According to Dianna Russini of ESPN, the offense was frustrated with the lack of production through the first two weeks, even resulting in what Russini referred to as a “verbal blowup” in practice."

Cole he lost the locker room for sure.

Pretty good presser. He did some good there to raise his stock a little bit.
I agree, he went out with class while being gracious and professional. I do hope however, that the next head coach is told that winning a 4 team division is not enough to be a successful head coach in Houston. The NFL structure is brilliant to keep fans engaged with its 4 team divisions. The NFC East is horrible so far this season so all 4 teams are right in the hunt for the division and a playoff spot. Winning a division should be a "minimum" goal, especially if the team is shown for what they really are in the playoffs.

I know watson was never your guy and you've already deemed him a fail, but just like you were willing to give OB a pass for the three or so years with Rick smith, some of us are doing the same for watson with OB.

I won't give up on the kid until I see him under the new coach

Me too. I'll continue to disagree with you about DW4 until I'm proven wrong, which I hope doesn't happen, but I've always respected your view and our interactions, I just feel like you're wrong on this one.
