Tired of Texans Propaganda

Agreed,

I've just found other things to fill the void.

I'm not saying I'm going to punish myself by not watching NFL football. But it's not as important to me as it used to be.

BTW, there are many fans on the fence that will be turned off by the kneeling. Obviously most fans on this MB aren't this way.
I enjoy watching sports and enjoy discussing politics, but the two together...........I don't like. This is going to be an election on Nov 3 that will change the way we see America for the foreseeable future.

The Texans started the political discussion by backing the democratic group blm.
The Texans are an entertainment company. This forum - Texans Talk - is about talking about the entertainment aspect of their endeavors.

There are many other places on the internet to chat about the political angles and voice your displeasure / boycott. This forum is not one of them.

Though that may be true, when that stuff infiltrates the “entertainment” like it has, it’s a little difficult to just ignore it.

I don’t want to talk or read about it anymore than the next guy, but there it is.

Fair enough. I'll just point out that I don't give a rat's ass about the political perspectives of musicians or actors that I enjoy, so why should athletes be any different?

So I have to ask: why do folks elevate the OPINIONS of entertainers to be worth more than anyone else?

I allow them to be court jesters in my kingdom. Beyond that simple task, they have no other value to me. :joker:

Because the school system has failed us. People can't think for themselves anymore. They believe what the entertainment industry is selling them. This includes the MSM.

I hear you. & as long as they keep it on their variety shows, I couldn’t care less. I haven’t watched NFLN for months & I used to wake up to that sht.

Now, I’m only watching (or preparing to watch) from kickoff to the final whistle. I don’t care what happened before the game, don’t care what happens after the game, & unless the wife flips the chicken on the grill, I couldn’t care less what happens during half time.

But the NBA taking a pause... that hurt. I didn’t care when game 5 was, or 6, kinda wished I watched 7, but didn’t.

Oh, I’m with you. I’m just saying it’s there so it’s probably going to get brought up.

The media is partly, hell, mostly, to blame. Never knew nor cared about kneeling until that’s all they showed and talked about. They’re the ones asking the social questions that these athletes feel they need us to hear their 2 cents.

I don’t give a rat’s ass what the players, actors, etc. political, social or religious views are. I don’t give a rat’s ass what they think about muscle cars for that matter. I don’t watch them for any of that ****. Play the damn game, talk about the damn game, and be done with it. But the media gonna ask, so there it is.
