I like McCarthy, should do well with that bunch in Dallas.

Not sure what happened in Green Bay at the end.

Yeah i lean this way as well. I think he got a slightly raw deal in GB towards the end, but we shall see how good of a HC he really is without the talents of Rodgers at his disposal. The other end of this is he's going from the relative obscurity of GB & its owners to a meddling, attention-seeking owner in JJ.

Wow, did they interview anyone else? Meet the Rooney rule?

I would think that Hue got a little vindication on both the Browns org and Mayfield this past year with how they performed on the field...........but whatever. He's another dude who got a raw deal.

No vindication at all. They played better without him last season. This year's screw ups are an entirely different thing because Kitchens was just as a bad of a hire there as Hue Jackson was. Hue didn't get squat done in Cinci either.

I'm not saying he would've led them to greatness or even that he's a good HC. Karma's a ***** & that cluster%$^& last year was entirely engineered by the notorious red-ass Todd Haley who used the new golden boy Baker Mayfield to undermining Jackson. John Dorsey was too stupid to realize what was going on so he fired both & then made his own critical mistake by hiring a worse candidate in Freddie Kitchens. I'm glad the Browns fell on thier faces this year & all of their asses are out of jobs now..serves them right. Now i'm just waiting for Mayfield to flame out in the NFL so as to not only set that franchise back even more, but also so he can just shut his mouth and go away.

Hue just needs the right situation imo. He got HC gigs at perhaps the 2 worst places you could in Oak while Al Davis was still alive & the Browns with the Haslems.

Short response, I was leaning towards Urban Meyer as a change maker, but ok with the choice. If I had the patience of Job for 9 years, I think I can go three years to see how this pans out. For obvious reasons, the older I get the shorter my patience.

Wonder who slapped the **** out of Snyder to straighten him out?

Redskins Nearly Hired Former Texans GM Rick Smith
By Logan Ulrich

According to Adam Schefter, the Redskins nearly hired former Texans GM Rick Smith to replace Bruce Allen as team president.

Smith and Redskins owner Dan Snyder met several times in the Bahamas to discuss how to turn the team around and Schefter says his sources expected a deal to get done.

However, Snyder elected to make HC Ron Rivera the primary organization decision-maker rather than fill Allen’s position.

Schefter adds Washington plans to wait until after the draft to hire a general manager, with more changes to the front office potentially coming then.

I like Baker Mayfield. Not that I'm a fan or anything, but he is pretty fun to watch when he's on. I like his chippy personality where he goes for low blows and takes low class shots at other characters around the media. I think its hilarious. He is sort becoming the Colby Covington of the NFL to some degree with his reputation. It makes him a good character to have around the league that a lot of fans can enjoy hating. That is if he ever gets back on track and ends up being consistent long term. I like the controversy he causes when he takes shots at media members and trashes them personally and gets in their feelings. It creates fun theater. You don't think so?

I have found out something that for some reason has not been publicly revealed. Jerruh interviewed a potential HC besides McCarthy and Lewis. Jeff Fisher was quietly interviewed for the position........... by phone. Stephen Jones slapped the ***** out of his father before he reached the wrong decision. :chef:
That was reported on ESPN yesterday..

Was kinda funny at first, now its just annoying/cringeworthy. Dude just doesn't seem to have very much self awareness...Just way too cocky for me.

Head coachs and not owners hire assistant coachs.
Well, if the Texans Brain Surgeon still thinks Devlin is the man......then its time for Cal to step in and let him know I've picked you up a shiny new OL Coach.....call that other guy and let him know when he can expect his last paycheck.

I think McCarthy will do well just based on the talent they have. As far as the former OL coach Columbo, he would not be my target as he basically inherited that talent and they haven't seemed to improve even though its much better than ours. The architect would be Bill Callahan followed by Frank Pollack.
