Minnesota Vikings offense

Well if you trade first round picks to upgrade the offense, the offense should improve. But doesn't seem to be the case with O'Brien's offense.

I just don't see the connection with O'Brien and Kubiak at this point. They are so far removed from one another. Hell Kubiak, is with his 3rd franchise since coaching here. I don't think that anyone considers O'Brien a great offensive coach any way. Not after what he has done here in Houston for this long period of time now. They aren't in competition with one another.

That's right, there isn't. I just think it's an interesting contrast. Kubiak basically doesn't need his own handpicked guys at all, though I imagine his offense would be even better if he gets that chance

I think he is doing just fine with what he has. He was blessed with a lot of great weapons.

They have some talent but cousins isn't good

They've got an elite level WR in Theilen. He just doesn't get talked about for it, because he's white and not all that known. He's terrific though.

Diggs has been a bad ass for years. I'd love to have Diggs on my team.

Dalvin Cook is the league's leading RB this season and was hurt last year.

Cousins is a very good talent. Sure he's been inconsistent with a flurry of OC's, but he did real well with Kyle Shanahan who loves him and runs a similar system. Cousins is a very good QB for Kubiak to utilize. This was a great situation for Kubiak to walk into.

I think kubiak makes these guys look better, especially at rb and qb

Any chance that this statement may allude to the fact that Watson was never a OB handpicked guy but a guy that RS moved up in the draft, to ensure he became a Texan?

That could be an issue with OB who may not like the idea of having to modify "his" offense to fit Watson's skill set. Something tells me that an OB type of QB is cut in the mold of Big Ben.

If OB isn't sure Watson can run his offense or win with Watson running his offense....and McNair has no desire to fire OB....maybe it would be in the teams best interest to put Watson on the trade block for picks in 2020 and 2021. He could make a try for Justin Herbert, Oregon or stock up picks and try to move up to the #1 position so he could try and draft Trevor Lawrence, Clemson. I think both of these guys could fit OB's idea of a protypical QB for his system.

If Watson were to be put on the block this off-season....any speculation as to what they could get for him and who the suitors may be?

Yes that's the beauty of it. Obrien is such a mess it could mean that or a bunch of other things

We would take a third round pick and two back up QBs.

This is known.

If Watson was on the block they could get a top 2. Look at what the Jets got for Darnold as a template. Maybe they could get even more.

For sure they could get Miami pick and there pick back from Miami plus their 2nd back in 2020. Probably even more.

Depending on how you feel about Watson, this is the best case scenario. That's if you don't think Watson can bring a Lombard to Kirby, regardless of the HC like I do

Duke Johnson and Carlos Hyde are on pace to combine for over 1,700 yards at 5 ypc, but Dalvin Cook wouldn't ball ... ok.

Duke is having the worst receiving year of his career. That's his biggest strength. Cook is also a receiving back, so he'd be under utilized
