For goodness sake Romeo Crennel!!! :(

If all BOB chooses is bad players, (I dont think he's the guy doing the choosing until this yr) then how has he been able to let good players go?

Because he didn't choose Brooks, Ben Jones, Duane brown and maybe not even clowney.

But he chose hoyer, mallet, Jeff Allen, xsf, Seantrel, and about a million TEs who haven't done anything

Every coach needs good players to make the units look good. Belichick has Brady, had gronk, always a good ol, etc

Difference is OBrien usually chooses bad players, gets rid of good players and even when he has talent his playcalling sucks. All that talent yesterday and still only 21 points until Watson was unleashed in desperation mode

When has BoB made it work on offense with poor talent? He still makes mistakes with all the talent we do have on offense. KDog's not wrong that even good/great coaches need talented players. I don't necessarily think you need a pro-bowler at every position, but we had an elite run stuffing pro-bowler that may have helped keep Kamara from destroying our run defense. It's foolish to get rid of talent for effectively nothing in return with Mingo/Martin. Even if Clowney had held out through week 1 for us...he still would have had the same stats as those 2 guys did. You see the offenses focus on the 1 great player we have on the defensive line when they don't feel like there is another threat to have to contend with, and they made Watt look terrible because of it.

As far as passing defense...I think it's been an ongoing complaint for several years how far our CB's play off the receivers. I'm not sure why anyone was surprised that our cb's were off the line that far. Either our CB's aren't good or the coaching staff is scared to be aggressive in a high pressure situation or both. I think it's both myself.

Personally, I'd rather lose by taking a chance getting burned down the field than let the other team methodically get yards and try the field goal. Taking risks has its drawbacks, but we lost anyway. Take the risk.

Even with Clowney the defense couldn't stop top 10 QB's. So in my mind the defense is he same as it's always been. In fact I would say Mercilus has made more of an impact than Clowney would have and I'm the guy who didn't like the Clowney trade at all.

Oh, so he only chose the bad players and still managed to win 11 games last yr.

Top ten QBs are rarely stopped. That's why they are top ten QBs. If the defense can hold them under their season average scoring that's good, but OBrien offenses usually average 21-22 points which is not enough

Lets see if the offense can improve as the OL improves and the RB's/Stills become more familiar with Watson.

The offense is still a work in progress.

Yes let's see but after 6 years I'm getting tired of seeing the same result regardless of talent

Some rethinking to do?

Doubtful this happens.

The OL is going to get better now that Howard is at RT and Scharping is at LG. The OL just needs to get more experience together. They should be much better a month from now. The size and athletic ability is there.

Scharping looked mighty good today.

If you want to build facts for an indictment on Romeo Crennel, I'd lead with the fact that Jacob Martin played 19 snaps (30%) and Charles Omenihu played 17 snaps (27%) despite the Chiefs never threatening to run.

Just refused to play his best pass rushers.

I was pushing for Omenihu all season. However it is hard to say either of these two men are his best pass rushers being that neither got much playing time all season and when they did get to play neither set the world on fire so to speak.

Yesterday’s game must have been the easiest game 2 call for Andy Reid & Eric Bieniemy in their careers. #Texans comically lined up in obvious single high man coverage & invited the #Chiefs to embarrass them with every route combo designed to defeat…wait for it…man coverage.

Watching this #Chiefs #Texans tape is unreal to be honest. Playing aggressive man to man with aggressive, fundamental press technique, using your help, executing selective, well planned combination double teams is one thing. The Texans defense did NONE of that.

I predicted RC would retire but truth be known 7 straight TD's in any game let alone a playoff game should ensure that he gets fired!
After watching the Chiefs destroy the Titans defense I may have jumped the gun. The Chiefs are very impressive offensively and their defense is playing almost as good now. I am not sure any team can beat the Chiefs now! RC's defense as well as any other teams defense is easy pickings for the Chiefs offense!
