Pre-Season...Game 4...Los Angeles Rams!

JamTex

Hall Of Fame Texans Fan!
On Thursday, August 29th at 7:00 pm CST your Houston Texans will be at home to take on the Los Angeles Rams at NRG Stadium. The Game will be aired locally on TV on ABC 13 and on AM KILT 610 Sportstalk radio.

We won't see any starters in this one so it will be all about players on the bubble. Most of the guys playing in this one won't be on the team come Saturday.
We definitely need to see much better o-line play, but now, we need to see who can step up and play running back with the loss of Lamar Miller.
Running back will be the biggest point of emphasis in this game to me.
Sure, the o-line is a huge question mark. Oh hell, it's a mess and needs something, anything (I'd say any coach but Mike Devlin), but with Lamar out for who knows how long, Duke and Buddy have the responsibility of getting the offense off and running. Can these 2 guys fill the bill? We shall see come the season.
For this game it will be the young guys carrying the rock. Who can step up and take the 3rd and possibly 4th spots. Gillaspia will likely be in as the full back so call the 3rd spot filled, who gets #4? We shall see.
For now, Hopefully, the Texans can get through this game with no more injuries.

GO TEXANS!

Hey! I'm going to pay attention to John Kelley this game the RB I wanted us to draft back in 2018!

as far as this game tho... I think O'Brien will try harder since he has NO CHANCE coaching in L.A.

I’ll be watching for Higdon, Howell, and Crocket. One or two will be on ir for a “hamstring” or whatever make believe “injury.”

After yesterday's fiasco it won't take much more to get rid of Billy. The Ewes will can us as badly as they want to can us, let's put it that way. Sheep 38, Toros 20.

Most likely won't watch, and it will take the starters at least 3 weeks to get used to each other. So I don't see a fast start for our Texans this year either, pretty much a replay of last year. But Watson, dude, throw away that ball or just settle for small yardage..

I may watch it with the sound down. I can’t take anymore Spencer Tillman. Worse than ever.

Yeah. Those channel 13 guys seem to get worse every year, not better. I had the sound off most of the preseason.

We have a ton of ex Texans who still live here.. can't we find someone else who actually played for the team.

Seth Payne likes to hear himself talk too much
Cecil Shorts isn't charasmatic enough
Travis Johnson is too hood - though i like him in as a media personality.
Wade Smith i have found is about the only former Texan in media that i believe has the chops to do it. He's about as unbiased as you're going to get & is very knowledgable about the game/organization.

Oh wait McVay will be coaching, BOB will surely be intimidated and will try hard. Consequently will get a starter injured.

I will make what I can out of this one, perhaps a meet and greet. Tickets cost too much not to show up.

I put mine up for $30 and no takers, wife set up a social tonight. Will watch later to see if the right guys get the last 5-6 spots. More interested in the college games that count, but damn, football season is underway, BOOM!!

I got $32 total for both of mine. Pretty bad. Had to drop the hammer to get rid of em. Nobody is going to play.

Even the Texans Bud Light commercials are horrible. How do you screw up a Bud Light commercial?

I’ve seen enough of Higdon and Crockett. No great fuzzies there. I would now like to see if Buddy Howell can repeat his Detroit game. He seemed quicker than these guys but gotta see him again.

We need to play a different QB in 2nd half. Unbelievable that Webb has played it seems 80% of preseason. We aren't even trying to look at someone else.
Webb gets hurt in 2nd half and we have nobody. Don't want to hear about McCarronmallett.
If they cut Buddy without even letting him play i will be pissed. All the RBs I have seen are slow and plodding.
Going to be a typical BOB offense. Slow, methodical, and bad. Watson will do his best but he can only do so much.
Big f$#%^ng deal that we may have a different coach calling actual plays it is still BOB offense.
Just my opinion.

Love the radio team, Vandermeer and Trophy (Ware) are awesome, but Andre was on a collegiate assignment tonight so John Harris was filling in. Ugh!!! Give me Tillman all day every day over that.

Don’t know why Tillman catches so much **** here. I’ve learned more from him over the years than anybody. Guy picks up the play quick.

Right. There's a reason he makes teams as a special teamer.
He’s not intended to be a backup QB. He just allows the Texans to only carry two QB’s on the 46. I’ve posted a lot here wishing we spent some draft capital on a qB more frequently. Charlie Casserly was the only Texans FO GM that stated that strategy as a goal.
