On Thursday, August 29th at 7:00 pm CST your Houston Texans will be at home to take on the Los Angeles Rams at NRG Stadium. The Game will be aired locally on TV on ABC 13 and on AM KILT 610 Sportstalk radio.
We won't see any starters in this one so it will be all about players on the bubble. Most of the guys playing in this one won't be on the team come Saturday.
We definitely need to see much better o-line play, but now, we need to see who can step up and play running back with the loss of Lamar Miller.
Running back will be the biggest point of emphasis in this game to me.
Sure, the o-line is a huge question mark. Oh hell, it's a mess and needs something, anything (I'd say any coach but Mike Devlin), but with Lamar out for who knows how long, Duke and Buddy have the responsibility of getting the offense off and running. Can these 2 guys fill the bill? We shall see come the season.
For this game it will be the young guys carrying the rock. Who can step up and take the 3rd and possibly 4th spots. Gillaspia will likely be in as the full back so call the 3rd spot filled, who gets #4? We shall see.
For now, Hopefully, the Texans can get through this game with no more injuries.
GO TEXANS!
