UDFA SIGNINGS

I agree that he may be the best rb on the roster now. I’m feeling damn good about our running game with the addition of our new linemen and Higdon, should he (and he should) beat both Miller and Foreman for the #1 spot. Honestly, I feel he may just do that by week 3.

I only say week 3 because O’Brien will most likely try to force Foreman into the #2 spot but I doubt he’ll return to form after the achilles.

5'11" 225lbs... now that's a RB
From rotoworld:

Texans signed Missouri RB Damarea Crockett.
Crockett (5’10/225) turned pro as a true junior after logging a career 380/2,252/19 (5.9 YPC) rushing line with 21 career catches, looking like a future star as a true freshman only to lose momentum via a 2017 year-ending shoulder injury and falling into a committee last year. Crockett rehabbed his stock at Mizzou’s Pro Day with a 4.4-flat forty and 37-inch vertical. A college disappointment with NFL talent, Crockett’s Speed Score gives him sleeper appeal with rare straight-line movement skills for his size.

Crockett had right shoulder labrum repair Oct 2017. Throughout last year, he commonly used his right arm to stiff arm with no apparent ill effects. I'm looking forward to see him in action this spring.

Karan Higdon signed with the Houston Texans. I like that. He could genuinely be the best back on that roster already.

He looks good and I don't want to be a pessimist but I always take guys who run through very big holes all the time with a grain of salt. He won't be piling up yards against Western Michigan here and he won't be seeing holes the size of those running behind what passes for our OL. He does show some ability though so like every player the Texans bring in I'd like to think that he's going to be something special and do well.

So the UDFA period lasts up to the pre season?
Teams can take up to 100 players total squad initially from memory?

The off-season roster limit is 90. Yes, they can continue to sign UDFA and street free agents. Note that most of UDFA are agreed upon before the end of the draft and very few signed now are more than true camp bodies.

I see him as a Burr-Kerven type. Reid, Gipson, Chris Johnson and Drew Lewis?
Will be interesting to see which slot they put him in. I think he's more likely to beat Brian Peters for a roster spot than AJ Moore. Moore has the ability to play nickel as well as safety to go with 4.39 speed. Will be interesting to see how he develops year 2. And whether your boy Chris Johnson can beat him out for Hal’s old slot :)
