Texans are on the cusp of one of their best seasons. They now have a good QB, which many thought was their biggest holdback from greatness.
It has taken a little while for things to gel but it looks like it is starting to happen.
The team is not perfect, but it does have many positives.
However, the league is a minefield of strong teams all vying for the big dance. Now is the time when the men are separated from the boys. I make no apologies for the cliches as they ring true here for if the Texans want to be serious contenders, they are going to have to lift their game to the next level.
Just take a look at the teams that are considered contenders this season: Rams, Saints, Chiefs, Patriots, Steelers, (Texans,) Ravens, Chargers, Seahawks and Bears - that's some list.
So far, Texans have had a fairly soft schedule but in a month's time it will suddenly go up another notch.
I would like to see the Texans change it up a gear and show us some December football starting with the Colts to get us fans pumped for the upcoming postseason and to get themselves ready for the onslaught that is to come.
Do you think they have it in them?
What do they lack and what do you think their realistic chances are?
Do you have a prediction for the rest of this season and the playoffs?
