Right. I studied the draft for years. I knew who I liked and they just end up being a starting guard for a team like the bears. Wtf is the point?

Instead we get guys like Sam Montgomery, Xavier, and Tony Hollings.

Same here, but it's hard to get excited for a draft where you don't even have a 1st or 2nd rounder. We usually throw away mid round picks like last night's open beers...so it's hard to get excited about a draft when that's all your team has to rely on...history is not in our favor.
 
Jamarco Jones (LT) and Colby Gossett (OG) are still on the board. Either or both could be nice additions this late in the draft.

Getting close to the Texans pick. There are still some interesting CBs out there. RB is getting thin.
 
Parry Nickerson still lurking. Gosset and Tony Adams for interior OL. Darrel Williams my RB that I mocked at next pick. Duke Ejiofor, Joe Ostman, Kylie Fitts for edge. Tons of talent on the board that can make this team and be positive contributors.

I'm fine with a few of those picks. I had Phillips rated slightly above Nickerson but now that he's gone, I'd be happy with Nickerson. I wonder what other Senior Bowl players are still available. I could see OB spending a pick on someone he coached.

I don't know why he slipped that far. Wasn't he more of a 4th rounder? Another piece for the pass rush.

I really like the positions they've attacked thus far.

In a perfect world, I'd like a RB, a developmental corner (Holton Hill please!), and LB with some rush ability or ST value with the remaining picks.

Underwent surgery for torn labrum in February. Unable to workout for teams predraft. Didn't have those elite athletic traits that would make him go higher.

Wouldn't mind this one bit. Gives us a chance to solidify this line completely and if it doesn't pan out, we only used a 6th or 7th.

If we're gonna give a former Longhorn with off field issues a chance i'd rather take a flier on Holton Hill. I don't think either are on the team's draft board however.

apparently, there was an on-stage interview that lasted way too long...

edit: I didn't think it was possible, but I swear last day coverage is now worse than it has been on both Networks...almost no acknowledgement of the players by the announcers

I switched to watching Lance on NFL Now.
 
I watch casserly give his "expert" opinion and fight off a gag reflex. He single handedly put this franchise in the grave for 6-8 years. So many squandered picks. What a douche.

I would be fine with Desmond Harrison but unless someone drafts him, he might be there for us as an UDFA.

We could go back up QB. (Even though I think we are gonna sign one in a few hours.)

Could go WR? Javon Wims for me. (Eq St Brown was just drafted)

Could go RB.. Akrum Wadley and Justin Jackson still available.

We could go 3-4 DE help? CB?

Was actually a nice change up.
 
I don't care if he doesn't have ideal size/length for an OG Tony Adams makes this team with solid starter upside. I'll take that flier in the 6th round. Top 5 OL technician in this draft.

I still want to get a backup RB as well. Darrell Williams is still my pick, just screams high football character total team guy. Plus valuable insurance for D'onta Foreman.
 
Jordan Thomas. I HAVE HIM IN MY MOCK. Dude is a freak of nature but not very athletic. He almost has 12 inch hands. Insane.

Lance thinks he could convert to DE if he doesn't work out at TE.

Zierlein really liked him as a freshmen but said he never improved. Played OK throughout college but did not match his measurables. Sounds like Texans got a technician minus the plus athleticism and an athlete minus the technique. Maybe we can put them together?
