"Fulham's billionaire owner Shahid Khan says he hopes a deal to buy Wembley Stadium from the Football Association will be completed in eight to 12 weeks.

Khan, who also owns NFL side Jacksonville Jaguars, has made an offer thought to be worth £900m.

It is understood he would pay £600m for the stadium and the FA will continue to run the £300m-valued Club Wembley hospitality business.

"This offer makes a lot of sense for us," he told BBC Sport.

"When I say us, I'm talking about the Jaguars, NFL, Wembley, and I think it also makes a lot of sense for the FA and the English football team.

"I'm pretty confident - that's why we're putting our name, our reputation on the line to get it done."

So how long before the Jaguars relocate to London?

I wish this team wasn't even in our division/conference...I want nothing to do with that scheduling mess. I don't even like when our team has to fly to the Pacific coast, much less London.

It's interesting the timing of the news breaking as well, they put this out in the UK the day before the draft, have seemingly kept it quiet in the US.

I think Khan has announced that the Jaguars are moving to London.

I'd welcome seeing the Texans get an away game over here every year. It would be fantastic.

I've seen it written that Chelsea need Wembley for 2 or 3 years from 2021 while Stamford Bridge is redeveloped, I'm not sure if that will change or affect any potential move.

The new White Hart Lane stadium is going to the be new venue for the NFL in London as the league helped fund some of the construction. So the move to purchase Wembley this soon is kind of strange. But maybe not.
