New uniforms?

Byrds Man

Waterboy
Both the Jaguars and the Titans are set to announce new uniform and possible helmet changes in April before the draft. Does anyone think the Texans should also make some changes? I've always thought that since they're called the "Texans" their uniform should incorporate all three colors of the Texas flag instead of just two of them. I wish they would switch from Deep Steel Blue to Royal Blue.
Any other suggestions?

I've wanted a Metallic Cement Gray for the helmet and pants for the longest time....but I could get behind, Liberty "Classic" White helmets.

To any car guys out there, I believe GM introduced a "Classic White" for the 1968 Corvette. It's an amazing color of white that has a crazy blueish hue at dusk. I've used this color on a Mustang, Datsun 280Z and a Honda Prelude. Just an amazing color that would be complimented by Steel Blue and Battle Red.

They could ditch the Steel Blue pants in favor of the White pants. They need a better side stripe concept. 3 Jersey's in the team colors would suffice for all types of promotions.

I still like the idea of swapping team colored face mask' since helmet swapping isn't an option.

This change could allow the Texans to sneak in a "Throw-Back" color scheme to pay homage to the Oilers of Houston. Columbia Blue and Battle Red decals with matching uniforms could be pretty cool as long as the style remains current.

I'd like to see them wear the current uniforms without any changes whatsoever until they've been around so long they seem literally ancient compared to the Colts colors/logo and we've had a chance to see them hoist a Lombardi trophy or two while wearing them. Musical uniforms is NCAA bullshit and needs to stay there.

Good for the Jags. Those two-tone helmets are hideous.

I don't really care about the Tits. They're just trying to capitalize on a color scheme for a brand they murdered two decades ago.

And the Texans spent millions on market research for their logo and color scheme, and McNair is inclined for a traditional approach of keeping them for a long, long time. I'm okay with that, too, unless they want to go full color-rush, which the Texans had the best of the bunch.

Of all the current uniform options, the Steel Blue pants should be worn at home games...it's the best home game option and offers a more sinister appearance.

At the moment, the Texans road uniforms are the best in the NFL...just my opinion.

Like the Ketchup Bottle pants, the Liberty White pants should go away. Take that back, the Liberty White-Out games offer a really good look when used in this combination. Heck, even the Battle red jerseys look better with the Steel Blue pants.

I'm flexible but none of these uniform combinations will peak until there's a Lombardi Trophy sitting in the Kirby Offices. Astros uniforms got a lot better looking after the World Series....even the Orange and Gold uniforms are acceptable.

I actually think the Jags should switch to those permanently. Using black with gold trim for their dark jersey. At least that would look more like the colors of an actual jaguar. That teal they use just doesn't make sense.

And yeah, the 2 toned helmet has got to go.

The Inbreds can wear rainbows and sprinkles for all I care.

As for the Texans, that's all they need is more fashion to add to all the things they do better than football. Reports are they'd been in the war room for weeks hammering out the color combinations for the upcoming season until a janitor walked by and reminded them there's a draft coming up.

Ok, loathe those. Looks like a bad college uniform.

Teal is a traditional Mayan color, so from where jaguars roam. (Actually at the time of the Mayans they roamed Texas too.)

Except technically there is no such thing. Home team gets to pick light or dark version of their uniform. The other team has to go opposite. So for example, Cowboys love their white and Steelers love their black. They basically play those no matter who is home.

Technically. I'm just saying I like the White over Blue the best out of all the combos they wear.

Damn Speedy...love that sense of humor.

Technically, the Texans call this combination their "Road" Uniform. When the Texans play at the Cowboys, then they should strut to field in their full Steel Blue uniforms. At least they can begin the game with a uniform one upmanship.

The Cowboys only wear silver pants. Then they just alternate between their white and blue jerseys. The Steelers only wear yellow pant and alternate between their black and white jerseys. The Packers also only wear yellow pants and alternate between green and white jerseys. I agree with other posts that say the Texans away uniform is the best looking ( Remember September 8, 2002 ?). I wish the Texans would only wear blue pants and just alternate between white and battle red jerseys. The only time they wore the battle red jerseys with the deep steel blue pants was against the Jags at home in 2016. I've always thought that was a great combination and should be the standard home uniform and you could still have Liberty White and Deep Steel Blue games.

Dallas also has a throwback uniform they wear on occasion, all though they have not broken it out in a while it is very much a part of their uniform
collection
