Unbelievable

Number19

Hall of Fame
The Saints kick a game winning field goal with, what, 30-40 seconds remaining. As the ball sails between the uprights, I turn the TV off.

This morning I buy my newspaper and find a headline, Keemun and Vikings shock Saints. Absolutely unbelievable heroic comeback.

You still buy newspapers?

Imagine how at least some of the Vikings fans felt while heading for their cars when they heard crowd erupt.

For all you that are too young to remember. This is exactly the kind of **** the Oilers would routinely do in the playoffs. They would lose games only the way the Oilers could lose games.

You could say that Saints defender "Oilered" that play.

Sure, read it while having breakfast, every morning. Unfortunately, Cak won't allow me to use it as a source for posting comments.

Incorrect. I won't let you quote it without a link. A link which is readily available as you are on line to post.

You make a sh!t poor martyr.

Give the Oilers credit. They melted down epically worse.

This. The Saints had a guy screw up in a very generic fashion (missed a tackle badly). The Oilers invented new ways to screw up.

The Oilers were just losers and did not know how to win. It almost seemed as if the Oilers actively thought of ways to lose games. They game planned for it. The loss to Buffalo, the loss to Denver, the loss to Kansas City. All great examples of really good Oiler teams bound and determined to lose to avoid the hassle of going to the Super Bowl.

You could take Tom Brady and the 85' Bears defense and a collection of the league's greatest players in their prime and put them on the same team wearing Oiler jerseys and they would lose a playoff game at home to a #6 seed 9-7 Jets team.

I just LOVE being a Houston fan!

Nothing the Texans have done so far comes close to equiling the futility of being an Oiler fan. Just gotta hope we get lucky with Watson.

Unbelievable
Impossible to tell what your response is in response to. But spread out on a table, I have 2 pages of newspaper and maybe 18 - 24 headlines I can scan, hands free in just a few moments. I can scan 3 sections and read those articles, plus the comics and sports, which catch my attention in about 30 minutes. For someone who has limited time, it's much more efficient. That's the name of my game, efficiency. Plus, I'm getting a more liberal slant to offset my own libertarian/conservative perspective.
