Offensive line grades from PFF reflect huge hole for Texans
By: Jeff Risdon | 9 hours ago
In PFF’s grading metrics, the Texans lack a single lineman who is in the top 33 percent at his position.
Nick Martin is the highest-graded Texans offensive lineman. His 52.2 overall score ranks him No. 24 among centers.
The highest-rated guard is Greg Mancz, who has only played intermittently and is currently injured. Mancz scores a 44.3 grade, ranking 44th among guards. Jeff Allen is 58th at 40.9 but trending upward, believe it or not. Xavier Su’a-Filo is No. 77 of 78 qualifiers with a 33.8.
It’s even worse at tackle, where Chris Clark and Breno Giacomino rank 75th and 79th out of 81. Rookie Julie’n Davenport would rank 65th if he had enough snaps to qualify, while Kendall Lamm would hit No. 60.
