**Official Game-Day Thread** Cardinals at Texans, Sunday Nov 19, 2017!!

Even though these two teams have had similarly bad seasons a win for us could be a big momentum boost that could see us at least make a legit run at the playoffs.

The Texans are still good enough to beat another bad team. That's still somewhat encouraging. I guess.

They made me pay attention to them today, and if nothing else, I wouldn't have given them that credit before the game.

Neither do I but I can recall other teams riding the momentum of a win under our circumstances all the way to the playoffs and beyond.

Given our normally bad division, that could be true. But I think the Jaggies have enough in them to rack up just enough wins to win this sorry ass division this year, and I don't see Titans or Texans making it in as a wild card.

Savage pulled it together today to look serviceable. Hopefully, he builds on it and can help us real off some wins in a row.

Great game plan and even though Savage had a few mishaps, he played like a NFL quarterback. Defense stepped up big time, Clowney was a beast. And special teams was solid.

Great win
Great? OK, but I am happy for Savage. He bounced back and got a win. Savage played like most had hoped he would prior to the season. Hopefully, he can use this game as a springboard for the rest of the season. Not to pump sunshine, but I would only consider the Steelers on Christmas as an unwinnable game the rest of the way. I would bump up the Texans playoff chances to 10% from 0.001%.

OB says on Foreman’s touchdown run that Savage checked to that run vs a front they have not seen Arizona run. Called the right run vs the defense. #Texans

Yes the game was great and we were able to execute it on a high level. Coach got Savage going early, getting him into rhythm and building his confidence up. I haven't seen Savage this poised all season. We also established a decent running game. Receivers were finally getting open. Savage were able to hit his check downs when his receivers weren't open. The oline played pretty darn good.

Great job Bill O'Brien and staff.

Not likely but with the Jags and Titans coming back to form it is not out of the question.
It would take a 10-6 record to make the playoffs this year, IOW we would have to win out. Afraid it won't happen. We torched another bad team today, but there are good teams left on the schedule. With the fragile Johnson hurt again, the D can't carry us forever.

I could see this being a year where even if we did somehow, weirdly crawl and scratch our way to 9-7 we'd just end up staying home because we'd either tie with the Jags or be a game or so behind them and like you said this division isn't going to produce a wild card team this year. Just not gonna happen.

Nice to see them win on AJ day. That was cool.

True and better than Savage is at playing the QB position.

In fact what national food chain would you compare Savage QB play too? Example McDonald's sucks but they are greater than Savage as an NFL QB.

The Waffle House. For scrambled and omelets they put the eggs in a blender so as to introduce air bubbles and make them more "fluffy". That's BS! Anyway, I call them The Awful House and that's how I generally feel about Savage's play - mainly awful.

Denny's is a close second. And just like Savage, they never close. There are exceptions but they are rare.

The awkward position of his ankle and the way his body weight came down on it looks like a dislocated/broken ankle.
Nope Achilles.... MRI to confirm tomorrow...... I knew it...... they all look the same and it’s almost always untouched and how they grab at the bottom of there leg

So does that make Watson our IHOP?

I must eat my crow guys. I thought the Texans would lose today. I apologize and I owe steelbtexan a pizza and pepsi. I hope you can forgive me. I was a little frustrated with the past several games so I went into today's game feeling uninspired and in a bad mood.

Congrats to Tom Savage for winning his first career NFL game. He deserves it for continuing to put in the hard work even when many of us, including myself, have doubted his abilities.
