Correa and Altuve turned a slick DP. @Carr Bombed mentioned it in the baseball thread, probably the best play of the night. Harper made a pretty slick catch in RF at the beginning of the game, but nothing like the DP.

Thanks! I love a good pitchers duel if it's helped by stellar fielding. If it's ok fielding and bad base running that keeps the score low I don't like it
 
I've been on a bender.. not going to lie. I just found out that my cancer is back yesterday.

Hopefully I'll beat it again. Can we please find a cure for this ****!

When I saw this thread, I thought this is place to put unreasonable suggestions for the Texans. Like trading for Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers. :) :party:

Watching the Texans in preseason on a cutting out steam is a great reason for getting drunk...

although preseason may be a non qualifier

I have a feeling I shall be contributing more to this thread as the season unfolds. Preseason doesn't move my meter much, then again, I don't need an excuse to crush beers.
 
It's a good thing I already thought to record the game, there's no telling when I'll crash or wake up.

I wasted about fifteen minutes of my life I can never regain watching that debacle.

My pediction of a 5 win season might be a little exorbitant.

My Sundays will now become more productive.

I woke up to a full glass of whiskey, 7 alerts and a general 'ah crap, what did I say?' feeling. I'm certain I limited my destructive powers to TexansTalk, but do I want to know what happened here?

Edit: I probably don't, all of my alerts are 'quoted your post'. I'll come back later lol.

I think OB and Smith live in here .... permanently.

That's the only thing that I can come up with which could cause such stupidity on a consistent Always basis.
 
Here's a F'king talk for this forum bump , I'm going back to rehab. ..not because I have to, because I really want too..Im tired of living like this and I know I have a ******* problem.

. I leave on Oct 9th. Don't think any less of itt.I'm making the right decision. I love you yall, but I still have the 9th until they cut me off...so I still have a couple of more weeks to go.. I just had to and wanted to make that decision .. it's not worth it. Y'all are worth it.

This is my last couple of weekends, I'mgoing to enjoy them..God why do I think the Stros are finally going to do something or we might have a badass QB... lol that's how it goes.lol

Well, I'm about completely sh1t faced and finally getting home. If we lose today I'm personally gonna drive to NRG sometime this week in hope s of running into Rick Smith and smacking him across his ugly ass face. Cal McNair too, I'll give him a piece of my mind and tell him to shave that ridiculous brostach off...

If you feel that you have a problem then it's absolutely the right thing to do. And I applaud you for making the tough decision. Bless you and may you be stronger and happier than ever.

I've been outspoken about my own "condition" and have admitted my slips on this board. I had a liver transplant, at the age of 43 in 2013. Due to cirrhosis of the liver from drinking. My body rejected that full liver transplant 4 months later. Before the first transplant, I had 2 bouts of hepatic encephalopathy. Which sucked because I crapped my pants and knew not where I was. Well, the first time it happened that really didn't suck because I was, in my mind more concerned about evil nurses who were naked. It turned bad when they threw me off my bed, broke my tooth (my tooth did really break but because I fell out of the bed - I was strapped in bed from there on out) and basically humiliated me although none of that really happened. A 10 day nightmare, made up in my mind. I actually believed there was a sub hospital, a deep hospital under Clear Lake Regional that held trolls and in my mind I heard them singing, baking and cooking dead patients.

I'm not going to go through all my horrors of dying from end stage liver disease. I was damn lucky to survive with my mind intact. Get help right away. Dying young is humiliating. It's not easy or pretty. I wanted to die when I was drinking myself to death. And when I unconsciously or unwillingly made the commitment to live, nurses were wiping my ass while I had seizures. Living is easy, dying is hard.

P.S.

I hold the Texans partially responsible for my alcoholism, some of the **** that they have done over the years made me drink :)

But with Watson I now think I can dry out and stay sober.. Happy days are ahead and it's going to be so damn fun watching this guy's career as a Houston Texan. WE FINALLY HAVE A QB!!!
