This hurts. However if we clean up on the penalties we can finish with a better record than 9-7. Plus we don't have to play the Pats anymore.

Agreed. It's legal too. Why didn't he do that? Game on the line. How do you not push the WR out of bounds in the end zone? To be fair Moore was late getting over but he should still play the guy out of bounds and not the ball in that situation. That's the only time I would stress play the receiver (push him out of bounds) and not the ball.
 
I'm becoming convinced the Texans are just flat-out snakebit. Offense shows up and defense disappears. Defense shows up and offense can't get it going.

This should've been one of the biggest wins over the past 3+ seasons but a few simple mistakes make the difference.

This is exactly damn right. That cocksucking O'Brien lost his team this ******* game on that one goddamn call. Even if we didn't get a TD, there's no way the Pats would have had the time to even score that TD.

I haven't been so upset watching a game in maybe 3 or 4 years, maybe even longer. That ************, O'Brian. Maybe Watson should have had the nerve to audible out of that play...but no, the wrong people were on the field, and even Stevie Wonder could have seen what hole Miller would run to.

If you run a Draw with Watson it's a first down in every situation like that. At least 95% of the time...it was a braindead conservative default call.
 
I think our secondary let is down today, especially at the end. Moore was late, way late. Why's he going for the ball? Should have knocked Cooks out of bounds. We gave up three huge throws on that drive so it wasn't just Moore.
 
I'm glad we got a QB and everything but I'm still pissed off we lost the stinkin' game. Until we have the attitude that moral victories are bs we will remain a mediocre team. In my opinion, Watson and the defense were who kept us in that game, not Obrien.

But yeah, definitely feel much better about Watson today than any other day. & I was fairly high on him to begin with. He's getting comfortable & soon will be fine to just play.

Thank God Watson, Clowney, and Covington carried this team today.

I didn't study this game & I don't plan to. But the passing game looked better coordinated than before. I wasn't too thrilled with the run game. A couple of good runs but a lot of stonewalling too. No misdirection, not cut backs, no bouncing, no pitches. On the first end around, Hopkins whiffed on his block. His man came down & made the TFL. Lots of work to do in the run game.

Is it just me, or does it seem like OB is changing the offensive playing calling for Watson? I mean, I'm the last person here to frigging compliment OB on anything, good or otherwise, but if he is changing his pattern of play calling for Watson then he get's one star. I'll give him another star when he actually starts winning some games.

Poor clock management by #Texans at end of first half. Far worse at end of second. O'Brien's struggled with clock management since '14.

Texans need an actual legit safety, not sure when the last time is we've had one of those, our best safety the past decade has been Glover Quinn... A decent safety probably picks that off, it was such a floater to the endzone man, at least get the PI...do something, the game is on the line.
 
*sigh* After all of my pissing and moaning (which I rarely do), after today's performance, do you think it's safe to say that we can be in any game on our schedule?

Could that be the silver lining?

It's actually mindboggling that Watson appears to be growing up this fast. It looks like the sky's the limit for this kid.

I really can't believe I got this pissed about a football game. I apologize.
 
Great game Deshaun. **** you Tricky Rick for your awful, lack of depth roster construction leading to signing street free agents the week before this game, having them start today and getting burned. **** you BOB for your MORONIC game and time management. **** you for running Lamar Miller on a 3rd down dive up the middle when we needed to score a TD. God damn it!!!!!
