**Official Game-Day Thread** Jags at Texans, Sunday Sep 10, 2017!!

Win this game? What are you smoking? This is a loss already. Now it's just about seeing what we have ib Watson. We can't stop the Jaguars offense today so we ain't winning a ******* thing today.
Agreed. We lost this game.
Our defense didn't bring the juice.
Savage's suckness in the first half didn't help.

But we have something to be excited about in Deshaun Watson. I hope that O'Brien names him the Week 2 starter on Thursday Night "right after this game." I don't want him to even think about it for a few days,

Haven't been watching Watt specifically until about the last 4-5 plays. Didn't look good at the end of that series.

What is everyone else seeing?

The story of this game so far to me is the defense. Especially the lack of pressure on the QB. RC needs to come back to coordinating our defense. It is really telling that Watt, Clowney and Mercilus's names have hardly been called. There is no excuse not to have them more involved.

We are getting no pressure on bortles

Yup. Very nondescript game from jj, clowney, mercy. You barely notice theyre on the field. The secondary should not be making the bulk of tackles in the run game. Very underwhelmed by vrabel and our effort.

26-7 isn't something we're built to overcome.
Deshaun Watson = 1 TD in one drive.
Let's see what he does in his second drive.

Unfortunately, he didn't start this game. If we didn't waste the entire first half maybe we'd be in position to win a shootout.

None of the DL has looked good. NT has had its moments. JJ and JDC have been extremely quiet.

If we can't stop the Jags and Bortles the whole team is a joke.

Do you think McNairs wake up ??????? Are or they in a permanent stupor?????

This game is not over if we can run the ball and keep the Jags honest. I expect our D to adjust to that last drive.

A lot of time left, but can't make any more mistakes.

We won't be able to run the ball, teams will be ready for Watson next week.

The oline is a huge issue, but Savage simply cannot function behind this oline. He's a statue and can't even make small movements to avoid sacks and get the ball out. On top of that he is not a quick decision maker and doesn't have a quick release.

Savage needs a great oline to even think about being successful. Good QB's have to deal with bad oline play at times. Savage is not a good qb.

We lost this game during OTAS mini camps and preseason.

1st you should have given Brown his just do.

2nd you don't move up 13 spots in the first round to acquire a QB. Just to have him hold a clipboard.

Don't want to sacrifice Watson on a lost game. Keep Savage out there.
This game is not lost yet. Put in Watson and move the pocket around allow him to use his mobility and change the momentum. Or just continue to what's not worked so far? That's the options. I say put him in and see if there is a chance.

Probably in the locker room, smoking a blunt, and polishing his Gloc. :littlelol:
I'm out of here, James. I'm about to order a pizza and buffalo wings and enjoy Dallas Keuchel and the Astros beat the Athletics.

Thursday Night the Texans will beat the Bengals if Deshaun Watson is starting. That game will be much more exciting to watch!

At least we are kicking the tires on the new toy. We will at least see if he has the potential to be a starting QB. Count this game as a loss and a learning experience.

Nah....

I think Weeden is better than Savage, but the Texans care about their image too much and they don't want to look THAT stupid.
Weeden isn't any better. Sure he played okay when given the chance but with any significant time on the field he has been no better than Savage.

I agree and said as much in the save us savage thread when folks were talking about trading watson. Like schaub he needs things to be just right to be at his best. Savage doesn't have the ability to overcome

I disagree with that. Short of throwing the ball to the other team every snap it'd have been hard to have been worse than Savage.

If you allowed D-Lineman to illegally use hands to the face-mask and he can penetrate towards the quarterback a lot easier, then sure, a lot of quarterbacks, even All-Pros like Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, would throw a bone headed INT more often.
No that Int was om DW all the way. He threw into double coverage with little room for a completion. The roughing the passer call on that drive was very ticky tack.

Would help our cause if we had a real running back. Oh wait he was our marquis pick up last year in FAgency.
Another great job by Smith

I'm with you man. This game might as well be background noise right now. I'm fixing to grind up a G, and roll a rillo.

PI on Bouye... :shocked
