2017 NFL Draft - Day 2 discussion thread

I don't get it. Has problems tackling & no interceptions during his career yet your favorite LB in the draft? I trust your opinion but damn.
Second best LB in this draft. Hes a really good tackler and who cares if he gets INTs? Hes a LB. He has great recognition skills and is a sideline to sideline tackling machine. great burst to the ball!

Samaje Perine, RB, Oklahoma
Desmond King, CB, Iowa
Jordan Leggett, TE, Clemson
Brian Hill, RB, Wyoming
D'Onta Foreman, RB, Texas
Josh Reynolds, WR, Texas A&M
James Conner, RB, Pittsburgh
Roderick Johnson, OT, Florida State
Julie'n Davenport, OT, Bucknell
George Kittle, TE, Iowa
Bucky Hodges, TE, Virginia Tech
Taylor Moton, OL, Western Michigan
Jake Butt, TE, Michigan
Montravius Adams, DT, Auburn

One of these please

First pick I'm meh about, but I know we have some big fans on the board.

Helps take pressure off Savage and Watson and OB does like to control the clock.

Wow! Would never have really believed RS would take a RB this high.
Our offense is definitely gonna have some sting this season.
They must believe they can get a good enough RT in he next round or they have faith in Lamm and Allen.

I wonder if maybe the Texans have acquired robot legs for Newton and expect him back better than ever or something? They don't seem too worried about not having a RT to speak of.

Fumble issues with our new RB, and doesn't do pass protection well. meh. I would have much preferred a o-lineman here.

Yes! Miller and Foreman will do some very nice things in the running game. This can only help the QB's. OL will be on the docket come RD4 and RD5.

2- OL
1- SS

RD7

1- DT

Not a fan of the pick but see the need, just thought could get similar later.

I know Caleb Brantley has some character issues, and I haven't dug into a ton of that about him, but just going off of what I've seen him play I'm blown away he's still not a pro football player as of right now.

Am I worried about RT? You bet your sweet ass. But the players they have taken? A++++

Sometimes you have to follow your board. Take the best player and don't force a need. Great draft to this point. Super pleased.

I have a feeling we're going to swing some sort of trade for a stopgap at RT.

I'm looking for DB's, and a guard and tackle that can be developed tomorrow.

Punch a woman right before the draft and it's going to hurt you. He'd be gone, otherwise.

I'm psyched about our picks on day 2. Immediate impact players at positions of need!

With Foreman the coaches will not feel compelled to give Miller 30 touches a game and wear him down. Let them split 15-20 a game each! Best thing for a young QB and OL is a solid consistent running game.

Foreman was the best RB available and a great fit for us. Any OL picks at 89 would've been a reach. Can still get similar value tomorrow imo. I'm loving this draft so far. We do need those OL, though.

We've had a solid three rounds in this draft. And it's a good thing too. Because we won't have a 1st or 2nd in next year's draft.

But losing teams play for future drafts. We want to win right now and do big things. I like our chances to go 11-5 in 2017 and reach the AFC Championship game.

We're setting ourselves up to compete for a Super Bowl over the next four or five years. I really like the core of this team. All we have to do is stay healthy and give it our best shot. I'm super stoked that J.J. Watt is healthy again. He's tweeted all over the place lately. Loving these picks.

Do you guys realize how freakishly awesome, for us fantasy nerds and college football fans, that a backfield of Deshaun Watson and D'Onta Foreman would have been if you could draft both? And we drafted both along with a ballhawking linebacker and tackling machine that can play any of the linebacker positions.
